Sai’s faults - overanalysed?

Whether it’s Sai giving away her gift to Kaku or not inviting Virat to her college fest, a mountain is made out of a molehill. But there is no reason to do so. Sai is not in love with Virat (spare me the oh she doesn’t know she hasn’t accepted because only when we get her dialogue or monologue will this be made clear) and doesn’t expect reciprocation from him. Virat is in love with Sai and more importantly, expects reciprocation from her. Because of this expectation of reciprocation, his modus operandi has to be different obviously, like protecting Sai from abuse, not cheating on her with his sister *in law*, taking her out on dates, etc.

Sai may be hurt when he talks to Pakhi but has never stopped him from talking to her. She hasn’t stopped him from pursuing her. She only loses her temper when she is bullied by Pakhi (not to mention how she is responsible for her trauma) and the only shield she has is iterating that she is his wife, legally. But, she made it clearly on the day she exposed Virakhi that he can’t have both, her and Pakhi (exact dialogue I don’t remember and can’t be bothered to re call). She’s not readily available for his whims and fancies.

As for her, she’s focused on herself. Even if she starts liking another boy from college, develops feelings for him in her heart, what’s the big deal in it? From her point of view, this marriage is a farce with an expiration date. She made it clear she won’t be his wife and he made it clear he can’t be his husband and is committed to another woman. If he could be committed to another woman in the beginning of their marriage, why can’t Sai be committed to another now? Everything cannot happen according to his desired timeline, when he wants, Sai has to be his zimmedari and not keep any expectation and again, when he wants she has to be his wife. Reiterating, she is not pursuing him or hoping for reciprocation from him or exerting herself on him.

Their dynamics have changed now and they get carried away when they’re together but most of the times, she doesn’t presume that his advances are those of a husband towards his wife. She believes him to be more of a guardian figure in her life, taking care of her on behalf of her father.

Exactly! Blaming her for giving his gift to kaku & not understanding his pain is really stupid. She again & again said I gave it to kaku who is family member. She was being said that in joint family everything is shared among all. And for her virat's first priority is his family. And she has the habit of giving her things to others be it aaba gift to devi, saree to pakhi's aai if she thinks it would be usefull for them more than hers. Why would she think he will get hurt if he didn't objected when she was giving her gift to kaku infront of him & she was being nice to his family members as he wished. Virat could have said kaku I would bring another gift for u but it is sai's. But no he stood there listening their family taunting sai. And she should apologise him when he started the conversation by calling her insensitive 👏.

She also listed the reasons. She calmly explained to him why she gave the pendant away to Kaku (yesterday’s episode). The reasons were good enough, imo. She’s a philanthropic and magnanimous girl who will continue doing things like these. When she heard Kaku say she needed the ruby for her wellbeing, Sai immediately gave hers to Kaku. Even though Kaku has left no stone unturned to oppress her. Sai is too kind hearted and innocent!

If he cannot make sense of it, that’s on him.

She’s not a neurosurgeon who will patiently re-wire his brain. Once again, he couldn’t bother enough to understand or see things from her point of view (not a shocker).

She didn’t discriminate b/w Kaku or Devi just b/c one doesn’t treat her well and the other does. The focal point was their need for the jewellery. Kaku for her wellbeing, Devi for her wedding.

Exactly when she was giving gifts Infront of family why he can't objected. The way kaku was saying I want it panditaji said all how Sai should handle that even they were blaming her because of her virat is breaking family rules what she should to still she should keep that necklace and hear things.

For necklace again fighting is not sai way for money jewellery she don't have interest.

Yet he has the audacity to call Sai insensitive. ☺️Insensitive is the one who fails to recognise the daily abuse his mother and wife are subjected to and moreover, advises them to “adjust.”

Sai seen the world as black and white. She is yet to understand there is thin line between black and white. May be because of that the Poor girl gets misinterpreted or ends up hurting herself. She values relationship more than its material value.Both Virat and Sai were in a situation nor Virat could object because it was asked by the eldest from the family nither Sai could do anything but to give away to avoid fights.

Being raised by a single parent it will take a lot of times for her to understand the dynamics of spouses. She didnt realise that pendent is the symbol of their love.But when Virat says he is hurt she should have said sorry. I guess both were not in the frame of mind to understand each other. It's natural. Look it's the poor writing that make us do so much brains storming on why that happened or why she / he said that after every episode.

@ Bold : I HATED THAT. Even in the episode today, she kept his clothes ready, water heater on (ok I’ll let this one slide), has served him food in the past, is he a man-child, wthell??? She even mentioned she has to wake up at 4 am to do housework. And he brushed it under the carpet. It’s so nauseating.

She is a busy woman (student) just like Virat. If Virat, who works, is not doing these for her or household chores, why should she do these for him? Or is it because she’s a girl? Study, ghar ke kaam, serve husband and then also get abused 24/7.

Karishma and Pakhi are not working women so they can finish the household chores. When will Virat make his home liveable for Sai?

Both my parents are doctors. And they had a love marriage. But I’ve never seen this dynamic. So this is very confusing and shows gender based discrimination, tbvh.
