So beautiful...Shiva will be the one who would pick up the pieces and bring the old Raavi back

I loved how Shiva's eyes sparked when Raavi retorted

But the humiliation that raavi feels is depicted realistically ..she was not only rejected but rejected by someone for whom she fought the world😒

The fluctuating emotions was heartbreaking and aptly described !

I felt it before once with a bad breakup. Sometimes you feel okay, like you're relieved to finally pass through it and sometimes out of nowhere that grief and heartache just hits you like shit tonne and it hurts 🥺🥺

Raavi need something to distract her and that's exactly what Shiva did. And I still f*cking hate that Dev has done nothing whatsoever when he was the on responsible for it 🙄🙄

Great job Anu ♥️

Fav line;

"Mujhse nahi ho raha"

Because I felt that in my soul 🥺

A great take on the suicide thing. How conveniently everyone has forgotten about Raavi’s mental health which Dev has played with! Thank you for this! ❤️

Ananya, this is beautiful.❤️

Shiva knows how to balm her soul. Shivi scenes were so touching. Raavi is yet to find the middle ground.

Looking forward to read more. 🤗

Waiting for the next chapter.

Beautifully written❤️

Shiva has taken the responsibility to bring the old Raavi back.

I can totally understand Raavis emotions... Its a huge deal to be rejected when you have been telling the entire world that you are getting married to someone.

Raavi will heal❤️

I liked how Shiva collected the pieces of the bowl... just like he is going to fix raavi

Such an emotional yet sweet chapter👍🏼

The way Raavi responds only to Shiva is really beautiful ❤️❤️

Everyone understands that she'll take time to come out of it. That's a good thing.. you have done a good job with that 👍🏻👍🏻

Will be waiting for the next update😊

Part 3

Shiva heard all about what happened from Dhara. It was heartbreaking for him to hear that she was still in pain. If only he could take it all away, he would do it in a heartbeat. Dhara asked him to be extremely patient and gentle with Raavi. Seeing her today, Shiva understood it was going to be a long process to bring her back to normal. At least she spoke and ate a little. That was enough progress for one day. He had spoken to Gaumbi and asked for a break from the store, so he could focus on Raavi entirely. Gaumbi agreed and asked Dev to help him instead.

The next morning Shiva got up and went to Raavi’s house first thing in the morning. Prafulla opened the door and let him enter. She had seen how Raavi seemed to react when he was around so she decided that she would tolerate his presence for the sake of her daughter. He went straight upto her room and opened the door. Anita was happy to see him. Taking care of a depressed person could be just as emotionally taxing. She needed some time off. Now she could go and have breakfast. Shiva would give her company. Shiva’s eyes met with Raavi’s. She was sitting in her usual place. Anita left as soon as he sat beside her.  Raavi’s eyes told him that she was calm, but she was having volatile mood swings.

“Abhi statue ki tarah yahi baithe rehne ka iraada hai?” Shiva asked.

Raavi glared at him just the way she used to. She probably didn’t realise but she looked cute when she did it, instead of angry. Shiva was happy to get any kind of reaction out her. He would happily let her swear at him, or hit with with a stick, if it meant her getting back to normal. But he also knew getting back to normal would require her to talk about everything. Only when she was ready, would he touch the subject. For now, he decided to behave as normally as possible.

“Chaar dino se nahaya bhi hai ki aise hi?” Shiva asked. “Meri tarah jangli banne ke iraada hain. Somnath ki sabse khubsurat ladki ka yeh haal. Tch, tch, tch.”

He saw Raavi’s eyes widen and her nose flare up. She was about to retort but stopped. Shiva saw a hint of self-consciousness in her eyes. Somnath ki sabse khubsurat ladki wouldn’t like the jangli tag. She got up from her bed. Shiva immediately went to hold her shoulders in case she fell.

“Kaha jaa rahi hai?” Shiva asked.

“Nahane. Mujhe teri tarah jangli rehne ka koi shauk nahi hai.” Raavi said.

Shiva smiled widely. This was the most normally she had spoken in four days. Raavi went to collect new clothes from her wardrobe. Shiva, being his usual self, took the clothes from her hand and threw it onto her bed saying they weren’t nice. He did that with three pairs of clothes she chose. Raavi really glared at him this time. The clothes she were choosing were depressing as well. Shiva peeked inside her cupboard and saw a pink kurti. She loved pink, and wearing pink might change her mood. He handed it to her. She took it begrudgingly.

“Main Anita ko bulaake lata hu.” Shiva was about to leave but Raavi caught his arm.

“Mujhe akele nahana aata hai. Kisi ki zaroorat nahi. Tu yahi baith, main 15 minute mein aati hu.”

Shiva didn’t like the idea of her being alone even for a second, but he agreed. She went into the bathroom and locked the door. Shiva kept pacing around the room. Last time she locked herself in her room, she hung herself from the fan. He couldn’t bear anything like that again. Who knew what she might have in the bathroom? He hoped Anita and Maami had removed any razors or scissor from her bathroom. Those fifteen minutes were absolute hell for him, he was constantly wondering if he should fetch Anita or barge into the bathroom himself. He chose not to do either and trust Raavi and his Bholenath instead. Raavi came out of the bathroom exactly in fifteen minutes like she had said. Shiva was relieved to see her unharmed in any way. She had started looking like her usual self again.

Raavi sat down before her dressing table. Shiva saw her sitting and staring at herself in the mirror. Slowly, her eyes began to water and tears started rolling down her eyes. She closed her eyes, as if to avoid looking at herself. Shiva felt that pang in his heart. It broke his heart each time she cried. How he wished he could make everything alright for her again. If only it were in his hands. He took a long breath to control himself.

“Aise chudail jaisi dikhegi toh obviously royegi.” He took a strand of her hair and held it out for her. “Yeh kya hai?  Kitni sadiyon se baal nahi banaye tune?”

Raavi didn’t react this time. She kept crying so Shiva took it upon himself to comb her hair. He took her hairbrush and gently began to comb her hair. The whole thing was tangled so he was being extra gently with it. Slowly, he began to untangle each lock. Raavi wiped away her tears and looked at him through the mirror. Shiva took his time with the whole process.

“Tu yaha kyu hai?” Raavi asked. “Tujhe toh khush hona chahiye ki Dev kisi aur se pyaar karta hai. Party nahi di uss baat ki?”

Shiva chucked. “Tere bina party kaise ho sakti hai. Chudailo wala dance tere alawa kaun karega?.”

Raavi rolled her eyes. Shiva was happy to see there was no hint of sadness in her eyes anymore. When he finished with her hair, he looked at her in the mirror. Something was still missing. He took out her jewellery box and chose a pair of earrings for her. She scowled at his choice and took out another saying that they matched with her dress. Shiva looked at her through the mirror as she wore her earrings. There was still something missing. He took out her makeup box and was confused to see so many things. Raavi laughed looking at his shocked face, and Shiva was surprised. How much her missed her laugh!

“Kya chahiye?” She asked.

“Woh teri lipstick. Bas tere laal laal hoton ki kami hai.”

Raavi took out her lipstick and applied it on her lips. Now she looked like the old Raavi. Shiva was happy to see her. He saw her staring at herself in the mirror and smile. She was a bit of a narcissist and Shiva knew that dressing up would make her smile.

There was a knock at the door, and both of them turned to see Dhara and Anita coming to see her. Dhara looked genuinely happy to see Raavi making the effort to get up and get dressed. Anita was really excited. Both of them gave at least ten compliments to her in a span of one minute. Raavi was pleased. Anita had brought her her breakfast. She laid it down in front of Raavi. Shiva saw that she was still struggling with food. She said she wasn’t hungry.

“Chal main khila deti hu. Mere haath se thoda sa toh khana parega.” Dhara said.

Raavi didn’t protest. She kept eating several spoonfuls from Dhara’s hand. Shiva saw her eyes misting. He couldn’t control himself so he went and sat down next to her. Raavi started crying and Dhara did her best to console her. It wasn’t working.

“Dhara di, aapko koi zaroorat nahi hai yeh sab karne ki.” Raavi sobbed. “Main toh har waqt aapko kitna irritate karti hu. Ab mera woh bhi haq nahi raha.”

“Kya bol rahi hai Raavi? Tera pura haq hain. Tu abhi bhi humare parivaar ka hissa hai.” Dhara said.

“Haa aur irritating ka kuch kar nahi sakte.” Shiva said. “Ab jhelna toh parega.”

Raavi smiled and hugged Dhara tightly. Shiva knew how much being a Pandya family meant to her. If this was the case, he was ready to accept her as an honorary Pandya family member. Anything to make her happy.
