‘Sai main nahi chahta ke tum abhi is bare mein kisi se bhi kuch share karo’ Pulkit said from the other side of the call.

‘Par sir Virat sir se toh kar sakti hu na? Vo humari help hi karenge, you can trust him on this.’ Sai tried to convince him.

‘I know Sai, lekin please sirf kuch time. I don’t want ki unhe bhanak pade or vo phir baat banne se pehle bigad de.’ Pulkit reasoned.

‘Hmm. thik hai. Lekin sir main zada time nahi chupaungi unse kuch bhi.’ Sai spoke.

‘Vaise ek baat batao Sai’ 

‘Hanji bolo sir’

 ‘Jab tum use apna pati manti hi nahi ho, jab yeh shadi ek deal vali shadi hai toh yeh loyality kyu?’ Pulkit asked on purpose.

Sai was silent; she didn’t have any answer ‘umm. Main kya keh rahi thi sir. Phir ab aap mere kya lage?’ she purposely diverted the topic

Pulkit smiled on the change of topic ‘Nice try Sai *Sai closed her eyes as she was caught* lekin jawab dena zarur mujhe jab bhi do. Or ab baat karte hai rishte ki, vaise toh bhabhi lagti ho tum meri lekin kyuki tum umar or rishte mein mujhse choti ho toh behen thik rahega?’

Sai got excited ‘ha sir. Mera koi bhai bhi nahi hai. Aaj se aap mere bhai’

Pulkit spoke ‘lekin yeh baat bhi abhi kisi ko nahi batani’

‘Okay bhai’ she spoke happily.’

‘Kisse baat kar rahi ho Sai?’ 

Sai heard, she turned and saw her Virat sir standing near the balcony door.

Virat came home from the duty to find the room empty, as he came inside he heard some voices and went towards the balcony to find Sai talking on phone.

Pulkit spoke on phone ‘Sai Virat aa gaya hai so bye and remember don’t tell him anything’

Sai cut the call and spoke to Virat ‘umm. Vo actually main Pulkit sir se baat kar rahi thi.’

Virat clenched his hand in a fist. ‘Kuch zada hi baat nahi ho rahi unse?’

Sai spoke ‘aap Pakhi di se bat karte hai kya main kabhi aapko kehti hu ki zada ya kam baat ho rahi hai?’

Virat was about to blast on her but calmed himself down and spoke ‘Sai badla le rahi ho? Main karta hu toh tum bhi karogi?’

‘Aapko lagta hai par sach mein bachi thodi hu sir jo badla leti phirungi. Kuch baat chal rahi thi unse toh usi bare mein. ‘ saying so she tried to leave.

He held her hand and stopped her from leaving ‘Mujhe nahi bataogi kya baat chal rahi thi?’

Sai spoke politely ‘Abhi nahi sir.’

Virat looked in her eyes, his eyes showed how much hurt he was and for the first time Sai felt bad. 

‘Sir aap hurt ho?’ Sai asked not breaking the eye contact.

Virat spoke, stealing his eyes ‘nahi.’ he left her hand and went inside the room to freshen up.

Sai waited for him because she didn’t want to spoil his mood, for some reason she didn’t like him sad and those eyes were killing her from inside.

Virat came out from the shower and sat on the bed.

‘Virat sir chalo khana khalo’ Sai spoke.

Virat spoke ‘mujhe nahi khana Sai. Or please kal ke liye final packing check karlo’

Without saying anything Sai went from the room.

*Here Pakhi knows that Sai is also accompanying them on the trip.*

Virat thought ‘Aisa kya hai Sai jo tum mujhe bhi nahi batana chahti? Itna bhi bharosa nahi hai mujhpe?’

His mind replied ‘tujhe kya karna hai jaan kar? Zimmedari hai vo teri toh bas usi tarah rakh, itna kyu farak pad raha hai tujhe?’

His heart wanted to answer but couldn’t answer.

His thoughts were interrupted when Sai entered the room with a tray of food.

She came to him and spoke ‘Virat sir please kha lo khana.’

Virat politely denied.

Sai spoke ‘thik hai. Maine bhi dopahar se kuch nahi khaya, I thought aoge toh sath mein khaenge par chodo ab. Nahi khate dono.’

Virat rubbed his temple and spoke ‘Sai khalo please. Mujhe sach mein bhuk nahi hai.’

Sai asked ‘station mein kuch khaya tha jo bhuk nahi hai?’ He lied to her and avoided eye contact ‘ha vo thoda bahar se kha lia’.

‘Jhuth bolne lag gaye mujhse? Mat khao par please jhuth mat bolo’ she spoke.

He was shocked how come she knew that he was lying.

She turned to go but Virat held her hand ‘acha baba sorry. Please baitho.’ Sai gave the brightest smile which brought a smile on his face.

‘Sai tumhe kaise pata main jhuth bol raha hu?’ Virat asked.

Sai replied ‘yeh toh main bhi nahi janti, bas pata chal gaya’ and saying so She made a morsel and brought near his mouth ‘khalo ab please’

Virat opened his mouth and ate the bite and started making a bite for her, he made her eat it.

‘Virat sir aap mujhe bigad rahe ho yeh sab karke, kab tak khilaoge aise hatho se?’ Sai spoke, chewing the bite he fed her.

Virat said instantly ‘marte dam tak khilaunga Sai.’

Sai looked at him with wide eyes, Virat saw her wide eyes and spoke ‘mera matlab….’

Before he could say anything Sai asked ‘Pakka? Ya Baba ki tarah aap bhi...’ thinking of him she had a lone tear in her eye and before he could reply she spoke ‘Main bhi kaisi batein kar rahi hu. Hum konsa hamesha ke liye….’

Virat was just looking at her and couldn’t stop himself from saying ‘Pakka.’

Sai looked at him and passed a smile, getting a smile in return.

‘Acha tumne sab packing karli?’ Virat asked.

Sai spoke ‘Ha. Sab rakh lia.’

Virat tried his luck again ‘Ab bhi nahi bataogi vo baat?’

Sai spoke ‘Virat sir aap jante ho main jhuth nahi bolti or apse toh bilkul bhi nahi. Lekin main sach mein nahi bata sakti aap ko kuch.’

Virat was again upset and sighed. Sai couldn’t see him sad so spoke ‘Virat sir kuch time please. Aisa samajh lijiye main ek mission pe hu par bahut jald main apko sab kuch bata dungi. Sirf tab tak mujh par bharosa karlo.’

Virat spoke ‘Thik hai Sai agar tum kehti ho toh par please safe rehna, jo bhi kar rahi ho.’

Sai smiled and spoke ‘Thankyou Virat sir. Chalo ab sote hai kal uthna bhi hai jaldi.’

Virat replied ‘ha’.

All three were set to leave the house.

Sai after bidding goodbye to everyone finally hugged Ashwini.

‘Dhyan rakhio Sai apna or Virat ka bhi or yeh le yeh shawl rakh raste ke liye.’

‘Aai maine garam kapde rakh liye hai’

‘Janti hu main yeh bhi rakhle kuch hath mein hona chahiye taki thand lage toh pehen le’

‘Kya aai aap bhi na’ and she took the shawl. Virat smiled looking at the duo.

But there was one person who was burning in jealousy. ‘Lelo Sai Shawl kyuki baki ke garam kapde toh maine tumhare nikal liye hai. I swear tumhe yeh trip bahut bhari padega’ She thought to herself and smiled cunningly as she took out her sweaters from her bag when she was not in the room.

*I have never been to Ladakh and in a flight so ignore any kind of mistakes related to it*

Sai was excited for the trip as she has never travelled via Plane, Virat was happy seeing her.

Pakhi sat near the window, Sai in the middle and Virat in the corner.

Sai closed her eyes as the plane was about to take off. Virat who was watching every detail of her asked ‘dar lag raha hai? Abhi toh excited thi.’

Sai replied ‘ha excited hu lekin mujhe height se dar bhi lagta hai.’

Virat asked ‘agar abhi Kamal sir yaha hote toh tum kya karti?’

Sai replied ‘main zor se unka hath pakadti taki sara dar gayab ho jata.’

Virat without saying anything extended his hand ‘Agar tumhe lagta hai ki mera hath pakadne se tumhara dar kam hoga toh…. Yeh mat sochna ki main unki jagah lene ki koshish kar raha hu Sai, please.’

Sai held his hand and spoke ‘janti hu main ki aap unki jagah lene ki koshish nahi kar rahe.’

As the flight took off Sai’s hold on Virat got tighter, seeing this Pakhi got jealous and to avoid the situation she plugged in her ear plugs waiting for her time to come.

For some reason Virat enjoyed the hold of her hand, it was something different. He entwined his hands with her and didn’t want to leave that hand of hers anytime soon.

Sai, who was scared, opened her eyes as she felt his fingers wrapping her fingers, shivers fell down her spine and her eyes met with his. Something was different in those eyes which she noticed today, she tried to take her hand off from his grip but couldn’t take off as the grip was a bit tight. Tight enough to not let her go but yet so soft.

They sat like this for a long time, they chit chatted about random things. Sai shared her college tales and Virat shared his cases with her.

It was dinner time and their conversations were disturbed by the airhostess and that was the time when both of them realised that PAkhi was also there.

The all three started having their dinner, PAkhi and Virat were eating but Sai was pretending to eat. Virat saw that and spoke ‘Sai tum khana kyu nahi kha rahi.’

Sai spoke ‘Kha toh rahi hu.’

Virat spoke eyeing her plate ‘dikh raha hai mujhe Sai.’

Sai gave a sheepish smile ‘yeh bilkul acha nahi hai sir.’

Virat spoke ‘I know lekin or koi option nahi hai Sai, please kha lo.’

Sai pouted like a small kid and nodded her head in a no. Virat spoke ‘acha chalo curd rice khalo’

Sai still nodded in a no. Pakhi didn’t even bother as this was irritating her to hell.

Virat mixed some curd in rice and took some in the spoon and fed her. Sai unwillingly opened her mouth and chewed it making faces.

‘Tumhe kisi or ke hath se khana khana bahut pasand hai na?’ Virat asked.

Sai replied ‘har kisi ke nahi, sirf unke jo mere nazdeek hote hai.’

Virat smiled and kept feeding her.

Finally they reached the hotel they were going to stay. Sai wrapped that shawl around her as she was feeling cold. Pakhi too wore a cardigan which she kept in her bag and Virat already had a jacket.

Sai was shivering. Pakhi smiled an evil smile seeing her shivering body ‘abhi toh shuruwat hai Sai, aage dekho kya hota hai. Yeh trip tum kabhi nahi bhulogi.’

Noone noticed the evil smile of hers as Virat was busy worrying about her ‘Sai room mein chalte hi pehle apni jacket pehnna’

Sai spoke shivering ‘hanji. Thank god aai ne yeh shawl di thi varna toh aaj baraf ban jati main.’

Virat smiled listening to her talks.

Sai was feeling cold, like a lot but she didn’t tell it to Virat. As they reached the hotel Sai opened the bag and was shocked to see no warm clothes of her.

Sai spoke scared ‘Sir isme toh mere kapde hai hi nahi. Aapne dekha tha na maine dale the.’

Virat replied ‘yahi honge Sai tum dekho. Maine bhi dekha tha tumne dale the kal.’

Both looked for the clothes but there were only Sai’s suits and Virat’s warm clothes.

‘Ab kya karogi Sai? Hume Samrat ke office bhi jana hai paperwork karne’ Virat asked worriedly.

‘Main thik hu sir, yeh shawl bahut warm hai. Ya phir ek kaam karo aap dono hoke aao main yahi rukti hu.’

‘Nahi Sai main tumhe akela nahi chodunga. Tum meri jacket pehen lo chalte hai phir.’ Virat spoke.

Sai felt weak but she didn’t tell him, she did as he told her to.

Virat and PAkhi went inside the office to do the paper work whereas Sai waited in the canteen area. Sai dozed off on the table placed in front of her.

It took them almost one hour when Sai heard some voices.

She woke up and saw PAkhi and Virat talking about something.

Sai approached them ‘kya hua Virat sir?’ she looked in his eyes and his eyes were red and moist.

Sai got scared and asked ‘Virat sir kya hua?’

Virat tried to speak but there was a lump in his throat, Sai asked again ‘ sir kya hua? Please boliye mujhe bahut tension ho rahi hai.’

Virat spoke ‘Sai Samrat dada mil gaye hai or vo yahi hai’

Sai spoke ‘toh yeh toh achi khabar hai na Sir aap pareshan kyu dikh rahe ho?

Virat replied ‘Sai vo hamare sath vapis nahi ana chahte ghar.’

Sai was shocked ‘lekin kyu?’

PAkhi intervened ‘tumhe sab kuch janna hai Sai? Har baat mein tang adani hai?’

Sai replied ‘PAkhi di maine aapse toh baat hi nahi ki, main apne pati se baat kar rahi hu aapko kya dikat hai?’

PAkhi started ‘Sai tum na..’

Virat spoke ‘chup karo tum dono.’ he looked at Sai and spoke ‘Sai Samrat dada ko pata lag gaya humare sacrifice ke bare mein?’

Sai was shocked ‘kab pata laga unhe?’

Virat replied ‘shadi se pehle’

Sai was angry ‘toh shadi hi kyu ki? Virat sir main Samrat dada se baat karna chahti hu ek baar.’

Virat replied ‘koi fayda nahi hai Sai hum baat karke dekh chuke hai.’

Sai tried to convince him ‘ek baar main bhi try karlu please?’

PAkhi spoke ‘game chal rahi hai kya Sai? Jo tum bhi try karlo?’

Virat spoke ignoring Pakhi ‘Thik hai Sai karlo baat lekin please sambhal ke,’

Before Sai could reply Pakhi spoke ‘yeh or sambhal ke? Zada hi umide nahi hai tumhe isse?’ She laughed sarcastically.

Sai was about to speak but Virat asked her to keep quiet ‘Pakhi main kar raha hu na baat? Please chup ho jao.’

Pakhi was furious. Virat called Samrat and called him out.

Samrat came out and Virat too went with Sai. ‘Dada yeh Sai hai meri biwi’

Sai happily joined her hands and touched his feet ‘Samrat dada NAmastey.’

Samrat was taken aback by her gesture he blessed her ‘khush raho’

Virat was also happy seeing this gesture of Sai, he was so proud of her. No matter what everyone says about her but she never disappoints him, she proves him right that his trust in her is not wrong.

Samrat spoke ‘bolo Virat kyu bulaya?’

Virat spoke ‘Sai ko aapse baat karni hai.’

Samrat spoke polietly ‘Sai agar mere faisle ke bare mein baat hai toh sorry main baat nahi karna chahta.’

Sai replied ‘Samrat dada pehli baar toh mile hai, jaanne pehchane ka mauka bhi nahi doge? Mujhe toh laga jab main aapse milungi toh aap mujhse milke khush hoge lekin..’ she made a sad face.

Samrat smiled seeing her ‘tum kitni pyari ho Sai.’ Virat too smiled seeing this.

Sai smiled and spoke ‘toh phir chale? Walk pe? Baatein bhi ho jayegi’

Samrat spoke ‘thik hai chalo.’

Virat was about to turn but Sai spoke ‘Virat sir aap kaha ja rahe hai?’

Virat replied ‘tumne hi toh kaha tumhe baat karni hai.’

Samrat spoke ‘tum bhi chalo Virat, mujhe koi dikat nahi hai.’

Sai replied ‘ha. Chaliye. Or pakhi di?’

Samrat spoke ‘vo nahi please.’

Sai spoke ‘acha thik hai. Koi baat nahi’

They were walking in the nearby  park aimlessly when Sai finally broke the silence ‘Samrat sir aap ghar chod kar kyu chale gaye? Aapko gharwalo ki, apni aai ki yad nahi ati?’

Samrat spoke ‘aati hai Sai. lekin main nahi reh paunga vaha. Tum nahi janti par..’

Sai asked ‘par kya Samrat dada? Aisa kya ho gaya ki aap ghar nahi ana chahte, apne socha nahi ki Pakhi di apka intezar karti hai’

Samrat thought she didn’t know anything so spoke ‘Sai tum kuch nahi janti. Pakhi ko meri koi zarurat nahi hai. Dhoka hua hai mere sath. Or sirf mere sath nahi tumhare sath bhi.’

Virat was quiet, his eyes were lowered due to the shame.  

Sai replied ‘mere sath kya dhoka hua hai sir? Or aapke sath kya?’

Samrat spoke ‘rehne do Sai. main nahi chahta ki tumhe in sabse thes pahuche.’

Sai replied ‘boliye na dada. Apna man halka kar lijiye.’

‘Tum nahi janti Sai. Virat or yeh Patralekha ek dusre se.. Aur inhone mujhe dhoka diya.’ he couldn’t complete.

Sai replied ‘kaisa dhoka dada? Aapne yeh nahi socha ki Virat sir aapse kitna pyar karte hai ki unhone apne pyaar ki kurbani dedi. Or Pakhi di unke sath kitna galat hua hai. Agar aapko itna hi galat laga tha sab kuch toh aapne yeh shadi hi kyu ki?’
Samrat was quiet for a moment then he spoke ‘Sai tum Virat ki side kyu le rahi ho tumhe meri side hona chahiye kyuki dokha tumhare sath bhi toh hua hai isne tumhe bhi kuch nahi bataya.’

Sai replied ‘dada main kisi ki side nahi le rahi. Virat sir ne mujhe sab kuch bata dia tha pehle din hi, inhone mujhse koi bhi jhuth nahi bola.’

Samrat replied ‘phir bhi tumne isse shadi ki?’

Sai told him everything about the marriage except the deal part.

Samrat forgot the actual conversation when he heard how brave this girl is he couldn’t stop himself from saying ‘Bahut acha laga Sai tumhe aise khush dekhkar, jo bhi tumhare Baba ke sath hua uske baad bhi tum itni khush ho. Bahut achi baat hai.’

Sai spoke ‘dada agar main aaj khush hu toh vo aapke bhai ki vajah se. Inhone meri bahut madad ki hai us dukh se bahar nikalne mein.’ She wanted to say more but hesitated infront of Virat so spoke ‘Virat sir aap muh udhar karo or kaan band karo mujhe baat karni hai kuch dada se.’

Virat was like What the hell but he did as she said.
 

Samrat was surprised to see the bond they shared.

Sai spoke ‘I know dada apke sath dhoka hua hai sab samajhti hu main, lekin ab ho gya. Ya toh aap shadi na karte par ab ho gayi dada. PAkhi di or Virat sir ne jo bhi kia vo kahi na kahi galat tha lekin jo aap ab Pakhi di ke sath kar rahe ho vo or bhi zada galat hai, or dada yeh zindagi bahut lambi hai akele kaise jioge sari zindagi’

Virat cheated and was listening to everything.

Samrat spoke ‘reh lunga main akele, mujhe kisi ki zarurat nahi hai.’

Sai spoke ‘mujhe bhi yahi lagta tha dada. Lekin jab se Virat sir se shadi hui hai na I feel ki akele bhi raha ja sakta hai lekin kisi ke sath rehna or bhi acha hai. You know akele medicine khane mein koi maza nahi hai dada lekin jab koi apka sir daba de na toh vo bahut sukoon deta hai. Akele khana har koi kha sakta hai lekin kisi ke hath se khana khana or bhi zada acha hai.

College se ghar ana or pata hona ki koi hai jo meri bak bak sunega, koi special day ho toh yeh umid ki koi hai acha lagta hai. Aaba ke jane ke bad mujhe nahi laga tha ki koi yeh sab mere liye karega lekin kehte hai na ek darvaza band hota hai toh dusra bhi khulta hai. Agar Bhagwan ne AAba ko lia toh unhone Virat sir ko bheja. I know ki khush reh sakti hu main or har koi reh sakta hai khush Isliye keh rahi hu dada ek mauka deke dekhiye Pakhi di ko bhi or zindagi ko bhi’

Virat had the biggest smile on his face hearing all those things.

While Samrat asked ‘Tum Virat se pyar karti ho na Sai?’

Sai who had a beautiful smile describing everything came to her senses and spoke ‘pyar? Nahi main toh bas zimmedari hu unki’

Virat’s face also fell hearing that.

Samrat asked ‘matlab?’

Sai brushed the thought and spoke ‘umm kuch nahi aap vo sab chodo or mujhe batao ki aap vapis chaloge na? Please dada ek chance toh do is rishte ko. Nahi ho toh phir koi zabardasti nahi hai.’

Samrat spoke ‘Sai lekin..’

Sai replied ‘Dada please ek chance deke dekho or agar nahi toh yeh rishte ko sahi tareeke se unke sath milkar khatam karke ana kyuki abhi Pakhi di na hi ek suhagan hai na hi kunwari. Har insan ki tarah unhe bhi haq hai khush rehne ka. Dosti karo unse or efforts dalo is rishte mein baki hum log hai yaha abhi kal tak toh, aap ache se sochlo.’

Samrat nodded his head in a yes.

Sai spoke ‘ab main room mein jati hu mujhe bahut thand lag rahi hai or thoda low bhi feel kar rahi hu. Virat sir ko mat batana varna vo bahut tension le lenge.’

Samrat nodded. 

Virat who was listening to everything got worried for her.

Sai tapped on Virat’s shoulder and spoke ‘Virat sir, aap baat karo dada se main room mein ja rahi hu.’

Virat pretended as if he didn’t hear their conversation ‘kyu? Kya hua?’

Sai lied ‘aap dono baat karo main jati hu. Maine jo kehna tha keh dia.’

Virat nodded.

Sai again joined her hands and said ‘Dada aapko meri kisi baat ka bura laga ho toh sorry or jo maine kaha sochna zarur.’

Samrat held her folded hands and spoke ‘dada bhi bolti ho or sorry bhi kehti ho? Idhar aao’ He extended his one arm for a brotherly hug.

‘Aage se hath mat jodna Sai tum mere age, choti behen jaisi ho tum meri. Or kabhi Virat tujhe dante toh mujhe ake bataio main sidha karunga.

Sai replied chirpily ‘matlab aap hamare sath chaloge?’

Samrat nodded and took Virat also in a hug, he engulfed both of them in his arms.

‘Virat isko room mein leja or dhyan rakh iska’ Samrat spoke.

Virat nodded and took her in the room.

Okay so this was a super long update because I may not update for next 3-4 days.
