Master Is Phenomenal In Tamil Nadu - Near Record Levels
Master recorded a phenomenal opening day number in Tamil Nadu with collections in the range of 20-21 crore nett which is the second highest opening ever in Tamil Nadu behind Sarkar which was a released on a national holiday. The film has fell just a few crore short of record levels despite releasing in this pandemic situation.
This opening has come in a different time with the pandemic and capacity restrictions. The actual collections of the film may well be higher as many cinemas would have have not played the film with capacity restrictions and allowed full capacity. .
The film is the third 20 crore nett plus day in Tamil Nadu and all belong to the same actor Vijay but the achievement with Master is the biggest due to the situation today. The all India collections of the film are simply mind boggling as with Tamil Nadu, Nizam Andhra and Hindi circuits the figures add up to around 30 crore nett and there is Karnataka and Kerala to come.
The film collected around 8.5-9 crore nett in Nizam Andhra and a further 60-70 lakh nett in Hindi markets. The all India number of the film could cross 35 crore nett. Master Smashes Hollywood Records In UAE
Master has become the best performing film in UAE post covid19. The film has beaten the numbers of Hollywood biggies like Wonder Women 1984 and Tenet despite releasing on far less theatres. The film is going very strong in UAE as collections jumped 50% on Friday.
Master has collected $1.4 million in two days and previews in UAE which would be a good collection even if it was not a pandemic situation but with the pandemic it is an extraordinary number. These collections are from UAE only and do not include the rest of Gulf. The top five films openings in UAE since cinemas opened are as follows. Numbers in brackets are cinemas.
1. Master - $1.4 million (50)
2. Wonder Woman - $1.1 million (200)
3. Tenet - $855,000 (240)
4. Mulan - $818,000 (208)
5. Vanguard - $517,000 (61)
Note - Master is Wed and Thu plus Tue previews). The rest are Thu-Sun period).
All I see is a super spreader event.
Why are you always negative? Tamil people have found some real happiness after so many months of losing jobs, frustrations at lockdowns and depression because of the pandemic. Just look at their faces and hearts. They are all so so happy and are celebrating the occasion with so much love.
Happiness ?? If they get infected by COVID, they are putitng there entire family at risk. God forbid, if they or someone in their family dies of COVID, the guilt and loss would be tremendous... Imperative to be responsible !
bold- Wow this is unbelievable. Wishing death upon someone and their families. Why? Just because they went and entertained themselves for few hours.New low on the forum.
