In today's episode, a Pestering Pakhi (PP- doing this to reduce the usage of the word Pakhi and the migraine associated with it. P can also mean psycho when she gets there 😜), now gets so insecure that she ends up asking Ashwini, "Aapko ek hi din me Sai ke baare me itna sab pata chal Gaya?"
So long, she has been giving Ashwini her 'kaash-ye-meri-saasu-hoti' wala looks but Ashwini's outpouring love for Sai got the better of her and she couldn't help question. Thank God, she didn't ask Ashwini, "Aap ki Zindagi me meri kya Jagah hai"
Coming to the point I'd like to make and discuss:
It is important that Virat actually spends some time with PP. I know we are going to hate it but being in the same house in close proximity can reveal a lot of things about people that two days of lovely outing in a yoga centre cannot. What Virat and PP shared was not wrong. Two young people wanting to explore the possibility of a relationship - totally right. But what followed was a mix of their mistakes and stupidity along with 'takdeer'. While Virat has been wrong in giving the woman hopes with promises about living a celibate life in lieu of marrying her brother, a fiercely independent woman that PP is shown to be making such a foolish decision is her fault, if you ask me. I mean, if a guy has already chosen his family over you and is so okay with pushing you on to his brother, why would you want to put your life at stake for him and keep grudging about him having left you and crying buckets over it, seeking possession of his life and questioning him about the people he connects with?
How much does Virat know PP? Not even 10% of what he knows about Sai (including the blood group 😅). To Virat, PP is also as good as he is because he is judging her value system from his own misplaced value system of pleasing everyone. He thinks that everyone like him is happy about being the sacrificial lamb and moves on to adapt to the situation. It could be Virat's strength that he can do it as much as his weakness that he gets into such situations.
So it's important that he sees that PP's agreeing to marry Samrat was a decision she made not out of the shared feeling of 'sacrifice' to love Samrat but to be able to remain close to Virat, who anyway made it clear that he cannot go ahead with the relationship. I do not think that Virat would have wanted PP to marry Samrat just for the sake of it, without having "aur koi bhi feelings". As hard as it sounds, but that was his expectations from PP to move on and be friends.
But Virat's thoughtless promise made in the moment of weakness was only an anchor that PP leapt on to, to keep afloat on a sinking boat and now when the boat actually sinks because Sai will win his heart too, PP will struggle for survival, space and what she assumes is her 'right'.
It is now that Virat will see that what he thinks of PP as being a matured girl with a different nazariya about the world is a misplaced notion. And only when he has Sai and PP both before his eyes, going about dealing with their own set of problems in life, he will be able to spot the character (no, not the charitra but the nerve to clear obstacles).
Both the women are now in marriages they don't want to keep. While Sai has nothing else to latch on to in the world except her dreams, PP has the backing of two Shahannav Kuli Maratha khandans. Yet, the way they conduct themselves in the situation will give Virat a first hand experience of which one of the two is actually the 'Maratha warrior queen', who should be the co-custodian of the family legacy that he has to carry forward. He already knows Sai is a fighter. Sai will win hands down!
