Good to see the show back from break, and despite the gap of three months, I found the show still sticking to the core storyline, so that is heartening for now.
Shravan's dreams are as colorful as ever😆.....ofcourse he would imagine a dream where Sumo is lattu over him and is oh so affectionate towards him, but even in his dreams, he seems to be braced for the family rejecting him for being irresponsible😆
Is "Nazm Nazm" supposed to be Shravan ka majnu mode background score for now?😆
In terms of the families, they provided a refresher on the civilians v/s army ideological conflict which I think was a good call in terms of reminding the audience of one of the core story points here.....Daadu has always been khadoos, so no surprise to see him over-reacting about intermingling with civilians. I guess there have been some casting changes, but I couldn't tell😆....the new actors cast for Sumo's mom and Shravan's chachu still seem to fit in pretty seamlessly with the cast.
They provided some continuity with showing Col Tiwari recovering from his injury and looking to get back to work....and the continuing tension between him and Shravan's dad over the business deal.
In terms of Shravan-Sumo....lol where we'd last left the story, Shravan was hung up on "impression jamaana" on Suman and trying to figure out if she cares for him.....now they've picked it up from a point where Shravan seems to have graduated to calling it "love".....then instantly backtracking again when Bunty throws a fit and quickly changing it to "Sirf LIKE hai, love nahin hai, mere bhai"😆. So it's safe to say, he's still a confused teenager. LOL.....unless some magical "deep" realization happened during the lockdown....but his dreams are still goofy, so I somehow doubt that😆
Sumo also seems more or less in the same mode....considering him an idiot, but willing to laugh at his antics....she stopped freezing him out completely😆. Last episode before the lockdown had her softening a bit towards Shravan, seeing him show some courage in trying to own up to his mistakes....so I guess they are back in that friendship zone again but maybe not fully to the level where she trusts him as much as she did before the party fiasco.
It's a good interlude they've put in with vacations to study for exams....still leaves scope to develop the story and characters even if they had to make some adjustments for whenever the Army track will happen.
Overall I enjoyed the episode and all in all, given the tough spot the makers must be in, they've still managed pretty well....the core of the show is maintained....the Bhopal location hasn't been changed (that's the one I was most wary about), the character dynamics are still more or less in the same zone with scope to grow from here.
So let's see how it goes.
