Chapter 4 - Ruhi - Raman meet each other
Bhalla House:
It was breakfast time and the entire family had gathered on the table. Raman joined them in a while. All of them looked at him while Bhalla ji stood up and told,"Toshi ji, mera hogaya". From his voice and tone, it clearly sounded he was irritated with Raman and did not even want to face him as he knew things would heat up if he stays there for some more time. Raman, however, did not bother, served himself and continued eating his share looking at the phone. The father-son had not been speaking to each other for the last six years. Bhalla ji never liked Raman's first wife and he never agreed to their relationship. It was because Toshi ji had insisted him to keep quiet and not oppose for the sake of Raman's happiness.
Toshi ji (slowly),"Puttar, tujhse kuch baat karni thi....."Before she could continue Raman interrupted,"Mamma please, agar shaadi ki baat hai to main wapas iss ghar mein kabhi nahi aaoonga. Tak chuka hoon mana karte karte." Toshi ji (angrily),"Haan haan ghar chod de.... lekin pehle isse dekh". Saying so, she threw a magazine almost on his face and asked him to read a particular interview. Raman's anger shooted up looking at the cover page, his eyes turned red and he crushed the magazine and threw it on the floor. Toshi ji,"Ab sunega???" Raman looked at her as he had no other option than to listen what his mother had to tell.
The cover of the magazine was none other than model-turned-actress Shagun Arora (Raman's ex-wife) and was now the wife of Delhi's top rated businessman Ravi Tandon. It was her interview that was posted on this month's edition of the magazine.
Toshi ji continued, "Dekh wo kitni vaddi star hogayi... uske interview chapa hai aur wo uss businessman Ravi Tandon se shaadi vi karli. Aur tu??? Tujhe dekh. Tu aaj vi wahin kada hai jahan wo tujhe chodke gayi thi..... Wo peeche nahi mudi puttar. Doosri shaadi vi karli aur bahut hi successful hai...." Tears started rolling from the corner of his eyes and he sat on the sofa still unable to come out of the shock that Shagun has got married again. Toshi made him realise his mistake of living in the past and ruining his present and future life, while, the woman who left him had already moved on and was happy. The very thought that Shagun is happy and he is not because of her killed him. He could not lose to her, not again. His mind was questioning as to why he let her win over him again? why did he let her break him again? why did he fall so weak and that too for someone who never really cared about him? He stood up at once, slammed out of his thoughts, wiped his tears and in a stern voice asked his mom,"Kya karoon main ab? Jo aap bologe main karoonga."
Toshi was happy to hear him ask her suggestion. She did not want to take advantage of the situation and ask Raman to marry, instead, she gave him a very a matured suggestion which she knew would work out as well as make Raman really happy and fulfilled. She continued,"Aaj kal sabhi bachche adopt kar lete hai. Aise to uss bachche ki zindagi ban jaati hai, parivar mil jaata hai. Tu kyun nahi adoption ke liye apply karta? Mujhe pata hai Raman tujhe bachchon se bahut lagav hai aur tujhse achcha papa to kisi ko nahi mil sakta. Issi liye main bol rahi hoon." Hearing this, Simi and Romi were shocked so was Raman. After thinking for a while, he felt there couldn't be a better option for him to start living his life again, nothing bigger than this could keep him happy, nothing beyond this can motivate him too. This whole decision could give him a new purpose to his otherwise mechanical life. The moment he heard about adopting a child all that came in to his mind was the picture of that little girl who was craving for those ice creams and balloons. Immediately, a smile crept on his face. He felt a strange connection with her. He wanted to see her again, keep her with him forever and forever. He was brought back to reality by his mom. He looked at her and replied with a smile,"Mamma, sach mein aapne bahut achcha solution diya hai mere problems ka. Main aaj se hi adoption application file karta hoon." He hugged her and was about to leave.
Toshi winked at Simi and she acted as though asking her mom about her regular check-up with Dr.Subramaniam for which the appointment was today. She also informed that none of them would be able to go along with her and that she will have to go all alone. Hearing this, Raman stopped at the entrance for a moment, turned back and informed,"Mamma, main aap ko le jaaoonga. Tyaar rehna, chaar baje." The moment he left, all the three bhallas bursted out into laughter and gave each other high-five as their plan had started working out.
Raman (in his car), felt as though he has got a new energy. Raman to himself,"Tere baare mein pata karna hai, tujhse milna hai sweety, jee bhar ke khelna hai tujhse, hasana hai, manana hai tujhe, zindagi phir se jeena hai tere saath.... I will find you my baby."
Delhi City Hospital
Raman was waiting for his mom outside the doctor's cabin as he did not feel comfortable inside and also he had to pick some important calls. He was walking on the corridor attending his calls and suddenly someone bumped into him. It was none other than Ishita. Realising that it was her, he quickly threw her on the ground and turned his back towards her. Ishita stood up with great difficulty after the shock she received. She snapped her fingers at him which annoyed him. He turned and asked her,"Itni akad, aadmi ko chutki bajake bulaati ho." Saying so, he caught hold of her fingers and twisted them. Ishita withdrew her fingers from his clutches and said,"Aap jaise logon se aise hi baat karte hai. Badtameez." His anger levels rose. and called her,"Anthi ho?? ya phir jaan bujake baar baar mujhse takra rahi ho..."(with a sarcasm). How could she not give him back, so replied."Jo log bina dekhe gaadi chalate hai unhe antha kaha jaata hai. Sorry bolne ki zaroorat bhi nahi samjha. Beech function mein aise hi chal diye aur ab hospital mein, beech corridor pe phir se wahi phone pe." Their tu-tu main-main started and a lot of them had gathered around them by now. Hearing the fight, Dr.Subbu (Subramaniam) and Toshi came running out of the cabin as they knew it was Raman's voice. Toshi got the shock of her life as she saw Raman Ishita's bitter fight. She hit her forehead with her palms, putting her head down, "Kota.... kabhi nahi sudarega. Saara plan hi bigaad di. Toshi, rok apne puttar nu warna mamla bigad jaayega." Before she could stop him, there was a voice,"Amma....." everyone turned to find little Ruhi standing there witnessing a random uncle fight with her mom.
She came running to her mom and hugged her tightly at once. Raman stood there in a state of shock, he felt numb. The baby girl whom he wanted to befriend with witnessed his worst behaviour especially with her own mother. He gathered courage, came forward, placed his hands on her back gently patting. He continued to further so that he could see her face and ask for a sorry but Ruhi shut her eyes tightly and said,"I don't want to talk to you. I don't like them who behaves badly with my Amma." She continued crying. Ishita who until then had only seen the arrogant businessman for the first time saw him getting down for a kid. She tried to console a crying Ruhi by rubbing her back,"Sssshhhhh... Ruuhhh." Raman who was eager to know her name, asked Ishita in signals for which he whispered,"RUHI".

Mr.bhalla don't speak with raman from last six years as he never liked ramans ex wife toshiji asked raman to come home early today he got angry he said if it's about marriage he will leave the house toshiji got angry and threw magazine on his face he saw the front page where shagun his ex wife interview was printed toshiji said she have moved on in her life so why can't he raman was so broken he said he will do whatever she says toshijis plan worked raman was thinking about ruhi omg ishra fight so toshiji had planned ishra meeting she was cursing raman for fighting ruhi saw them fighting she got scared she hugged ishita raman was shocked realizing ruhi witnessed whole fight he wanted to see her face he said sorry ishita was surprised seeing his behavior raman asked ishita about ruhis name ishita told him
