I have been reading this everywhere, if Maya tricked Vikram then it is butchering of her character and there can't be sympathy for her. What I don't get is that I never sympathized or empathized with Maya after she killed Rishi, if one can kill someone then cheating is really not a big deal, is it?

I think there are more layers to this story. I couldn't believe this person's version of story. He is giving a feel of a master story teller but not a wronged person

Exactly, there are many dots to be connected still. The precap showed him forcing Maya, who knows he was obsessing over her since the time he first saw her? And as you said its just his version of the story showing him in good light. No one becomes such a psychopath after a betrayal even if she betrayed him.

Infact, he even said that only I can win over Maya and you are Maya from today , signifying he already wanted her , was obsessed with her before she betrayed him.

This is possible and we have to wait for tonight's episode, I was just trying to understand how this will butcher Maya's character when she is someone who killed a man, all she could see was her revenge, she embodied persona of MJ

Atleast MJ is bad but we understand he loves his name/fame and to preserve that he can go to any extent but with Maya she is a psycho obsessed for revenge and nothing else in her life .

Dont understand to include lovestory of Mayra in this revenge saga where everyone is heading towards taking revenge. Mj/Maya, Maya/Rudra, Vikram/Maya.

With this new twist of Vikram I am kind of loosing interest to watch it further. Like I don’t know what maker wants? He wants Maya to be a nice person? Evil person? Psycho person? Lover person? Makers truly butchering Maya’s character like no tomorrow! Beyhadh was all about Maya but this Maya is not really interesting to watch! My focus and interest is more over MJ. He might be a villain and worse person ever but at least he value his family but Maya? Maya is not even sparing her loved one!

sucha confuse script! Like seriously if you wanna make her darker character just make it don’t come up with that goodie goodie sh*t!

Literally no one should empathize with Maya for killing an innocent. For me, personally I was looking for her to do her time legally after getting justice from MJ and then reunite with Rudra. As Rudra had said, mera pyaar tumhari hadd hai. And she didn't kill anyone thereafter. I was expecting Rudra to slowly notice the undercurrent and try dig Maya's past. Help her turn her bloodlust filled revenge to righteous justice.**Sigh**

But whatever Vikram has narrated makes it look like it was Maya's plan to trap another innocent, use & throw him like MJ used Manvi. It makes it even more difficult to expect a logically positive outcome of this story. This assuming Vikram is telling the truth and not spinning a tale.

As also the others were saying, tbh the writers of this season are hella confused what to do. Revenge mode didn't get TRP, Love mode hasn't gotten TRP, and now theres psycho ex mode. Let's see if this gets TRP.

Maya in this season isn’t a consistent character. I am finding it really difficult to sympathise with her ever since she killed Rishi. I think this show was going fine till the MayRa wedding. Post marriage, we are being served a khichdi in the name of a thriller.

What I feel is Vikram is saying something but the fb is something else. The first time Maya landed in Vikram's place is after MJ's friends pushed Maya into the mud. When she got up, it was Vikram's car that hit her.
