Priyanka Chopra, it seems, just can't get enough of action. After showing off her ju jitsu and karate skills in Farhan Akhtar's 'Don', the former Miss World is now taking lessons in gatka, a martial art that originated in Punjab.
Priyanka says learning gatka was a great experience: "What's more, there are no dietary restrictions. They just ask you not to have heavy food as you have to be light on your feet," she says. So, really, is she Bollywood's answer to Lara Croft? Priyanka roars with laughter: "I know quite a few people have been referring me to as Lara Croft. In that case, since Hrithik had 'Krrish', I hope they make a movie with me called 'Krrishi'.
But while Piggy Chops admits she enjoyed jumps and kicks, she wouldn't want to overdo the female Bond bit. "I was lucky to get such roles in 'Don' and 'Drona', but I must say I really enjoy comedy — I have just done 'God Tussi Great Ho', which is an out and out rib-tickler. And I definitely want to explore all genres — especially romantic comedies like 'Salaam-e-Ishq'."
But would she encourage other Indian heroines to go the kung fu way? "Not really. Bollywood is very different from Hollywood. We are known for our kind of movies and there is no point losing our identity."
