Housefull 4 Has Outstanding Numbers On Monday

Housefull 4 had a huge Monday which is a national holiday and the biggest day of the year for collections as it recorded collections of 34.25 crore nett. The collections at mass centres were crazy as some circuits showed growth which was five times or more if compared to Sunday. Rajasthan which collected 50 lakhs nett on Sunday was 2.50 crore nett apprx on Monday while CI which collected 30 lakhs nett was 1.65 crore nett plus on Monday. The film was huge in Gujarat with around 5 core nett and only Bahubali - The Conclusion or Golmaal Again have had a 5 crore nett day in this circuit. The sub circuit Saurashtra saw an all time record outside Bahubali - The Conclusion for any day as single screens recorded insane numbers.

The collections are the highest single day collections ever for an Akshay Kumar starrer. It is the highest collection ever for a comedy film and these records are coming on day four. It is also the third highest Monday collection of all time after Bahubali - The Conclusion and Tiger Zinda Hai. Both Housefull 4 and Tiger Zinda Hai were national holidays and Bahubali - The conclusion had a restricted holiday.

The growth was less in the South as it did well here on Sunday but even without the growth it is healthy collections in the South for a mass comedy film. The film has now collected an excellent 85 crore nett in four days. The collections of Housefull 4 till date are as follows.

Top Twenty Mondays All Time - Housefull 4 Third

Housefull 4 recorded a huge Monday total of 34.25 crore nett which is the third highest Monday of all time. Interestingly a few years back the Diwali Monday also fell on this huge holiday and there were two big releases Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay and these two films collected 33.27 crore nett between them and here Housefull 4 has topped the numbers of both films combined with 2000 fewer screens.

The Housefull 4 release is big enough for the film but on these sort of big national holiday the fact that Made In China and and Saand ki Aankh are holding up 2200 screens without really collecting does make a difference. The occupancy of Housefull 4 is far better and it could have collected what the other two films have from just 40% of those 2200 screens and gone towards the 40 crore nett mark. Its only on the big national holiday as on other days there will be enough spare capacity with 3900 screens.

The film becomes the third film in history to hit the 30 crore nett mark on a Monday after Bahubali - The Conclusion and Tiger Zinda Hai. The top Mondays of all time are as follows.

Loved the movie! Complete brainless comedy, which will not be everyone's cup of tea but if you want to just relax and leave all the stress behind, this is the perfect laughter therapy. Went with a bunch of people and we all had a great time.

Housefull 4 Day 5 Box Office Collection: The early trends suggest that Akshay Kumar starrer has a steady start on Tuesday. The film is coming after the Diwali holiday and recorded huge collections so the drops were always expected. However, it is a very crucial day for the film as it needs to maintain the pace. Akshay Kumar starrer has opened to around 25-30% occupancy today in the morning shows. The drop is normal after a big holiday. In fact, the start is pretty good considering the negativity surrounding the film. Monday was a national holiday and the collections were at very high levels. While today is also a partial holiday which will again boost the business. As expected the film has maintained the best hold in North India.

So far the film has performed well and the negativity has not affected the film. But it is also festival season and the real trend of the film will be known on Wednesday and Thursday. Alot of reviews have said 'leave your brain at home " kind of film hai but i don't get this... Matlab koi space engineering seekhne thodi jaati hoon doosri films mein... At a basic level the film should make sense... And the gags should be funny... Is toilet humour the only humour left?

Top Ten Diwali Holiday Collections - Housefull 4 Fourth

Housefull 4 has recorded the fourth highest collection ever for the Diwali holiday despite the Diwali holiday falling on day four. This collection has come despite the huge negativity for the film since release which would have had some affect in the metros. The three films above it are Thugs Of Hindostan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Happy New Year but all three had the big holiday falling on day one.

The film picked up 34 crore nett plus on day four but if this was the first day of release then at least a collection of 45 crore nett would have been there and this is a conservative estimate. Obviously the release could not happen as it was impossible to have a Monday release in overseas without business being hurt badly there. The film beat the numbers of Golmaal Again by a healthy margin which had the highest day for a comedy film at 30.10 crore nett. That film picked up these figures on this same day but it was the first day of release for that film. The top ten collections on the Diwali holiday till date are as follows.

Diwali Holiday Comparison - Housefull 4 v Golmaal Again

Housefull 4 recorded the highest single day ever for a comedy film beating the figures recorded by Golmaal Again on day one. The figures for both films were recorded on day four with difference being it was day one for Golmaal Again and day four for Housefull 4. There has been a change of taxes since then and ticket rates are now higher but that is more than compensated by the fact it was day one for Golmaal Again and its day four for Housefull 4.

The film has beaten the numbers in all circuits expect Mysore and that is because Mysore has had a pretty good run for Housefull 4 till now and these types be it Housefull 4 or Golmaal Again dont really run in this circuit. The collections are similar in Mumbai as there Golmaal is a bigger brand but in North and Central the starpower of Akshay Kumar comes to play who is a huge star in these regions. Housefull 4 Has Another Huge Day

Housefull 4 continues to fire at the box office as it has another huge day at the box office with collections in the 24 crore nett range. The drop is around 30% from the big national holiday as it remains a holiday in parts. There are many parts in the country which have hardly seen a drop in collections and there is a chance that the collections could go a little higher in the morning if mass numbers come in higher than they are estimated at present. This has been the scenario for the last two days as many areas outperform other parts due to the holiday.

Gujarat / Saurashtra is insane with huge collection and both Gujarat and Saurashtra are at record levels. The cities in UP, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar are around 10-20% down and even this drop is where there are multiplexes, the cities with single screens only have hardly dropped 10%.

The film has collected around 58 crore nett over the last two days which are the fourth and fifth day and this is supposed to be a hated film by the audience. Even allowing for the holiday factor a film does not collect at these levels when it has been totally rejected. The collections of the film are now in the 109 crore nett range in five days and there are two days of the week to go.

There will be a drop on Wednesday as the ticket rates drop at multiplexes and most metros come off the holiday period but some mass circuits will still be in holiday period and will collect well. The first week collections are still hard to judge as its hard to say what the drops will be but 125 crore nett will be there for sure and that is a very conservative estimate and the hope will be a higher first week finish.

Housefull 4 Is Super Strong On Tuesday

Housefull 4 had a super strong hold on Tuesday with 24 crore nett apprx as collections across mass centres remained huge. The collections in Gujarat / Saurashtra are simply insane as day five almost hit the 5 crore nett number. These sort of numbers have only been seen by Bahubali - The Conclusion or Golmaal Again but it was the first weekend of those films and this is doing 5 crore nett in the circuit after the weekend. It is holiday period but still you need a product to hit these sort of crazy levels. Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and even the smaller centres like Junagadh and Navsari are all record breaking.

The collections are also extraordinary in CPCI Rajasthan and UP and Bihar as they record drops in the 10-20%. It was a part holiday and that has helped the film but even where it is not a holiday the film has held up considering it came off a national holiday. The drops are mainly in the South but the film has already done pretty decent business there so far. East Punjab also saw a drop of 45% but that is normal for a film coming off a national holiday and on top its a multiplex dominated circuit.

The collections will be hit on Wednesday as the multiplexes come down to normal weekday ticket rates and on top its a working day which means there will be a noticeable fall in the metros but mass markets can hold up better as it is a holiday there and on top there is the white horse Gujarat / Saurashtra which could come out with another crazy number. The total so far for the film is 109 crore nett five days. The collections of Housefull 4 till date are as follows.

Housefull 4 recorded the fifth highest Tuesday numbers of all time and is just 6 crore nett behind the record of Bahubali - The Conclusion which is a box office legend and just 6 crore nett behind a film like that on day five is pretty extraordinary for a film like Housefull 4 which has seen the sort of negativity be it press or the trade that has probably not been seen before. Race 3, Thugs Of Hindostan, Zero and Saaho had it but this is another level.

Despite all this the audiences are coming out in numbers and even a Tuesday records a huge numbers. There are just three films this year that have done more than 24 crore nett on day one and here the film has done it on day five.
