Shift in Takht shoot date caused actors to prepone projects?

In August 2018, filmmaker Karan Johar announced his next directorial mega venture TAKHT which is going to star Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Jhanvi Kapoor. The movie as going to mount the sets this year in July and the makers intended to release the movie in 2020. Now we hear that the start date of the film has had a little bit of shift. TAKHT will now apparently mount the sets by February 2020 and the makers still want to see the film release at the end of 2020 but that might shift as well according to our sources. The reason for the shooting shift is because Karan and his team don’t want to leave any stone unturned for this magnum opus and the detailing of the period in which the movie is based needs time and it cannot be hurried. But because of this seven month shift in the start date of the film actors attached who had given their bulk dates are now moving their other commitments ahead. Case in point is actor Ranveer Singh’s next JAYESHBHAI JORDAAR which was announced by Singh this past week was originally supposed to begin next year but the actor will now begin filming for this immediately he finishes shooting 83. Similarly Alia Bhatt is going to move the shoot for her next which is going to be directed by Neeraj Ghaywan to the last quarter of this year as well. Vicky Kaushal is now going to okay one movie in the next few weeks as well, the details of the same we will reveal soon. A little musical chairs like this never hurt anybody anyways.

Atleast Ranveer' s movies got delayed before the shooting commenced and he got a movie preponed to fill up the bulk dates he gave for Takht. So his movies are on schedule. Nothing to worry about.

Ikr. Takht is an ego project for Kjo to prove that he can do what SLB can do, even better.

takht flop honi chahiye..tab asli mazaa aayega

kalank and SOTY were his productions not directorials...agar TAKHT pitt gayi jo johar to jauhar hi kar lega 😎
