The point was that from outsiders teram there's only about 5 thta have movies on the medium budget .. not even the big budget movies.

You also need to take age into consideration. There are so many different factors. Just pin pointing on one, and than ignoring others is the major flaw in your arguments.

The point was I was showing Thunder that 90% of current movies are done by BW 'insiders' nepo kids and families.

Yes 90 % of BW movies are being given to the nepo kids/fam,: Salman, Aamir, Hrithik, Sanjay, Rishi- RK, (dad producing) -Varun, Jackie-Tiger, (KJo)-Alia, Sonakshi, Anil-Sonam, ARK, Shraddha, Farhan, Arjun Kapoor, Abishek, Shahid (dad's actor?),Kareena KK, Saif AK, -and so on and so forth..going to newcomers Jhanvi, Sara, Ananya, Ishaan, Harshvardan, Ayush(Sallu's b-i-l), Pancholi kid- and the other countless just debuted/debuting ones- all with cushy roles and much hype/fanfare. Vicky Kmight be insider too- as dad's cinematographer (?).

Right now there's very few 'outsiders' that are having good movie streak-and most don't even have projects, or one project (max two) : Deepika, Katrina-just one movie... Anushkaand PC have no movie announced. AK is doing great...Ajay ,too, but mostly at 100 cr movie,not higher. SRK is not doing well lately-no movie announced. Vidya- no movie ( maybe some minor one)... Ranveer is doing well but then again his roles were well received and the khan movies kinda flopped..so maybe it won't happen the same this year..Not sure whether we consider Vicky Kaushal 'outsider or insider' as his dad is renowned cinematographer- so maybe he did get roels due to connections-yet he is talented and deserved applause . Kangana is going bonkers with statements after Manikarnika and even called her next 2 movies something like 'timepass movies'.. so..not 'sustaining' that great.

Aspiring A list -or just about getting there?-barely any big movie... Bhumi and Kriti are trying to reach the top but all the roles go to KJo'sfave so they have to make do with whatever's left. Ayushman and RR don't get good openings and their movies fared quite poorly- until last year. They are still on the up, I guess?? Radhika gets meagre movies. Sanya tries to shine with the small movies she gets. Karthik is not yet there. SSR- has more flops rn. Siddhant just started..so a long way to go.

-----So in 2019 we might have 5 big-ish movies with outsiders : Kangana's are probs medium budget, DP probs medium budget, ..and Kat's one is with Salman!)
Ajay might have a good budget, and probs Akshay's, too.
RS's next is in 2020.
And ..dunno about 40-50 movies with the 'nepo kids'?

So 90% of BW orientatiion is nepotistic..not that they do not give roles to outsiders..they just try their best to 'put bread on the table' for the nepo kids .

From the outsiders team, many don't even have movies announced- so ofc they are not in the running for 'movie of the year' .. as there's no movie announced anyway. And from the outsiders, only a few have small/medium budget movies- movies that could, say, do some great numbers at the BO..

This didn't mean outsiders didn't have movies because of nepotism.. it just meant that they were not even --most of them-- 'in the running' , so to speak.. as no projects are announced for most outsiders mentioned.

It was to show that , out of 50 movies, only 3-5 will be with A list outsiders, whilst the rest will have the nepo stars.

My argument is ben this(forever) : get promoting acting/directing/script degrees amongst youth, look for talent.. do auditions and have talent scouts.. then get 50 movies with 50 talented outsiders and same good budget/director / script as the nepo kids-- let's see who's becoming fast a superstar and who won't.

...let it be on merit and talent.😊

It's all about making the movie great...irrespective of your family /surname /links/ pressure to get role.

Look this is not about nepo kids only.

Cause if we take it so, from RK, Varun, ARK, Sonam, Salman, Aamir, Sonakshi, Aalia, Sara and so on and so forth- they all have parents as actors/ producers... all are part of BW families.
And there's a zillion of them , all trying to get roles, to the new lot of Jhanvi, Harshvardan, Sara, Shahid's little bro Ishaan, Ananya and so on and so forth...

Really, 90% of BW is filmy families (and in South and other Indian film industries, too).. When HW is like 99% on merit: people that are mostly outsiders and on first generation contact with superstardom.

No one is saying : DON@T CAST THEM. Rather:
CAST on MERIT.

Weird that you mention the filmy families and their contribution to industry... yet BW is talked by any as 'copycat/wannabee HW'..as being 'obsessed with (the Non nepo /Meritorial) HW and their movies'.
Even right now, Aamir -a talented nepo/filmy family actor- is just going to do remake of Tom Hanks movie.

@ blue , don't believe it for once , one of the privileged debut with YRF and that doesn't include begging , if only begging and audition would get the roles in yrf then i am sure there are more good looking and talented boys begging for audition every day .

@ Red : DP got the similar debut , 1st movie with shahrukh is not for everyone and this by no means is not on par with RK/Sonam debut

@blue answer: Well, if you believe he had connections/his dad paid for it.. or whatever other narrative- then that's your prerogative. Fact remains: it was a small budget movie, a new director and actor and without much ado it became a sleeper hit. So RS debuted out of the blue with a hit-means people liked what they've seen.He must have some talent/connection with public, right?

@Red answer: Yes she got a similar debut (I think Farah chose her after seeing her in some modelling thing). And? What of it? Many females have debuted with SRK, Anushka I think too. And besides DP and Anu, where are those debutantes? DP debut was a massive success. Sawaaryia and Myrziya - both great budget with renowned directors- SLB after Devdas nonetheless- flopped badly.

It's true. I said in another topic that people know these names and associate it with other bigger names and such, so it seems trust worthy. Like a brand. If colgate for example comes out with something smaller, people will buy it because they know they can count on it. Or so they think.

And nepotism is in all work places. You can have a better chance getting hired if a family member works at the same company too...so that's just life.

You can make all the struggles for rs but fact also remains that he debuted with YRF ( budget/director doesn't matter ) and that can't be done just by begging for auditions .

Point is : RK, Sonam, RS, DP all got respectable debuts so i don't understand why you make it sound like rs and dp were becharas who didn't get good debuts ..struggled to get roles and then succeeded unlike other 2 .
