I'd have to disagree here. In previous episodes Mohini has really stressed that hers is a very traditional family and they're quite stuck in their ways. Their wealth certainly doesn't translate to a more progressive mindset although how I wish that was the case. In fact Mohini herself comes off as very close-minded in her opinions about young women, when she termed Shivani as characterless for getting pregnant and got Nivi married to Anupam just because they were found in a hotel together, and in the way she differentiates between her daughters and her son.

Thanks all for your replies ..

@nostalgia - yes people in the US do get married early too - the difference is the marriage is not thrust upon them by their families - they find a partner they think they'd be happy with for as long as it makes sense and so they tie the knot for societal purposes ..but I've yet to come across someone who's family here is looking out for a match for them right from when they set foot in college - so I guess I meant "arranged marriage" I myself married in my early 20s ..but that is because I found someone whom I wanted to be with and my parents were kind of rule-minded regarding living-in before marriage ..but they never brought up marriage before they knew I was seeing someone :))

But I guess Anurag and P being in college doesn't speak of their age either ..they are close to 25 like most have pointed ..which is fair enough :))
