They are using her name to promote the movie. From what is out there, her role is not that big

Alia is a decent actress but she is overhyped and overrated. I mean c'mon calling her Meryl Streep of India Little Meryl is an insult to a legend like Meryl.

Also last year after Raazi's success her pr came out with an article that called her 'female superstar like no othet female superstar before her' and compared her to the likes of Hema, Sridevi.. Pr is used by select few actors so Aloo beti's pr antics warrant no bashing..

She is not a bad actress per se but she is not the best thing that happened to bollywood as some people try to plug her to be.

I need to check the trailer/promo yet. But I have absolutely NO doubt she's gonna ace it She's a fantastic actress and her chemistry with RS looks promising ⭐️

I think the Meryl Streep comparison was made by her brother after Highway and it just stuck. He was probably just being a proud older brother. I doubt his intention was to troll.

Not only they are judged more harshly. They do not get the same remuneration as their male counterparts.

I still remember Priyanka Chopra's interview last year by NDTV when she was told how could she be the only female actors in India who made it on the male only apart from her Forbes list of richest actors.

That place also she got it only after going to the states and did some mind blowing performance in Hollywood for her television series and movies. If she did not go to the states she will not be able to be on par with the rich actors like Shahrukh and Salman.

Then she was being judged for being absent in the Hindi movies industry for some years. Whilst the same thing will not happened if it was to happen to the male actors counterparts.

Please check out the Forbes celeb earning lists from the last 5 years before saying that PC is the only or first actress that made it to the top 10 of The Forbes richest celeb list.. PC was on the highest earning celebs list in 2016 as well.

And Pc was not in the Forbes list of highest earning celebs last year but Deepika was in the top 5. I think you are talking about the 2017's list where PC was the only actress but if you check out the lists from previous years you will find other actresses in the top 10 earning lists.

Varun called her the Robert De Niro of this generation.

I think the Meryl Streep thing came from this article talking about her greatness as a young actor.

I read an article where the writer compared her to Meryl. The jury is out wheather the article is pr or not but most here assume such articles are pr written, no?
