Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya accused of sexual harassment; he retorts

Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya has been
accused by a flight attendant of sexually
harassing her in 1998. She narrated the
details through a post on social media. She
shared that Abhijeet was a friend of her
roommate. She shared that Abhijeet
Bhattacharya twisted her arms, pulled her
towards him and screamed in her ear,
almost kissing and nibbling her at a hotel in
Kolkata. In the wake of the #Metoo
campaign many women and men are
coming forward and are naming and
shaming the accused.
Indian Express reached out to Abhijeet with
regards to the allegations levelled against
him. He dismissed the allegations and said
that he wasn't even born 20 years ago.
Abhijeet has been earlier accused by many
women of harassment. In the interaction
with Indian Express he said that people
coming out now with their stories seek
attention.He said, "Somebody told me over
the call. I was not born at that time. I have
never gone to pubs in my life. You'll never
find me at any page 3 or filmy parties. My
name sells. If someone's benefiting from it,
good. Sometimes earning their bread and
butter with my name, it's fine.
