Ever since the news of the leap did rounds before being shown on screen the million dollar question was why?? Then came the news of Shubhams death due to drug over dose or whatever. All seemed really rushed given the dark cloud looming over the cvs to revamp the show by introducing a leap of controversial amount of years (5, which then came down to 2).
Pre-leap: Shubhams downfall
So basically after his 3 day love story terminated after being engaged to the girl he claimed to have loved he went into depression. Simultaneously in this whole fiasco it was the cvs idea to parallel the psycho obsessvive stalker with shubhams depression. Not once did swarna or the goenka clan for once regard shubhams changed behaviour. Kabeer became the issue and then to top the issue cvs needed to give screen space to keesh through the miscarriage of keerti. Quite unnecessary since already there was too much happening at the same time.
Kabeer gets caught red handed and is given an apt or rather arguably controversial punishment for his deeds. Amidst all this shubham is ignored once again and vengeance for the daughter and daughter in law is highlighted.
Kabeer provoked shubham to take drugs. Not one individual understood that he was acting odd however Kartik understoof nannu was taking drugs but in this case he had no clue. Again the cvs are at fault for their characters undergoing amnesia. Coming to Swarna, 'mother' who backed out from all her duties ever since Naira came into the picture. This wasnt the first time Swarna put all responsibility on Naira and then blamed her. How can Naira help Shubham alone. All shubham wanted all his life was to be loved. When after so many years he found his family he could not accept them straight away given the circumstances his so called mother put him in all those years. Now all of a sudden her my jawan beta died rant sounds so meaningless. The untimely death of shubham is once again tge cvs call to adapt to what the channel wanted hence the rushed separation between the leads as a result the family.
Birthday and death day
Naira finding out about shubhams drug addiction should have confided in the family or atleast kartik. This is a mistake she commits in a repitive manner. Again the fault of the cvs to move the story ahead. However all she tried to do was to keep a promise. She was the only one who tried to make shubham feel loved and understood. But what did the Goenkas do? They put all responsibility on naira claiming that shubham listens tp her only. Where did that come from? Shubham knew that naira wasnt one to keep mum regarding his drug addiction thus he made her promise to not disclose the matter since he would. Again the cvs played their trump card to make naira the punching bag because let's face it kartik would not be blamed of he hid about shubhams drug addiction. End result shubham died. Reason doctors stupidity since they needed a girl to tell them yes he took drugs. Cos as far as the story showed shubham barely knew what drugs he took so how the hell would naira know? This death resulted in the gclan again berating naira and kartik telling naira to leave for the moment and her telling him I am waiting for you on the terrace.
The ever so dreaded leap
Ok so basically leap happens and we see Naira becoming this silent person who has no say left in anything. A bubbly girl has now gone into a shell. Likewise Kartik a happy go lucky guy has turned into this angry young man who cant stand anything related to the girl who was his life. With the leap came a thousand questions and loop holes which all needed answering. Eveything changed. The equation between the two families, individuals and even swarna took dadis kittu loving to a whole other level with mera beta. However what didnt change was the fact that these two loggerheads needed each other more than anything.
The most anticipated meet
So finally audience gets to see the meet of the century. A couple who has never held hatred towards each other is now angry at seeing each other. As much as they tried running away from each other destiny decided to bring them face to face. And thus they meet after countless number of hits and missess they meet only to bring back the painfull memories which led to this separation.
Flashbacks galore
So far most of the flashbacks have been Naira's perspective. Her confrontation with swarna, her injury, her seeking out kartik. Everything resulted in her saying you never came. Whilst she claimed that she was trying to move on kartik believes that he is still stuck there waiting for her (like he expressed to the dog). Yesterday's flashback seemed to have broken a lot of peoples understanding of kartiks perspective. The I hate yous said by both seems to be due to heat of the moment and quite forced by cvs if you ask me. Coming to the flashback I am left confused as to what kartik meant by you just left. He did tell her he doesnt care if she leaves. So did he expect her to stay back for a while until things calmed down. There seems to be another loophole in this flashback. A part of me wants there to be more because it doesnt make sense that if the separation was mutual then where was the misunderstanding. Naira did hide so she is at fault likewise kartik blaming naira for running away and moving on and shubhams death is wrong.
My point in all this is that both are at fault. No one less than the other or more than the other. Both are equally at fault. Both need to hear each other out. Dont know how bringing dadi is going to pan out given dadi is the only consistent character in these two years (naira ne kiya hai crap). According to me dadi cant allow anyone to beat her in terms of blaming naira. Hence she left gclan. She couldn't bear that swarna hates naira more.
Hoepfully the cvs justify this flashback otherwise the milan will seem out of place.
