Why did actress like Preity Zinta disappear from Bollywood?

Preity's back to back films like Jaaneman,Jhoom Barabar Jhoom had flopped...other actress had taken over her place...she took a break for few years and chose to work on her IPL team...she further ruined her face due to botox...

As far as acting is concerned she was decent...could play bubbly to demure chars well...she was decent in dialogue delivery and voice modulation which some of the leading actress today struggle to deliver...

Preity is the previous generation's Anushka Sharma. Just that Anushka got lucky in love, whereas Preity did not.

Similar to Preity, I don't think Anushka will go much further in her career considering she's mostly known for her bubbly roles, and like someone said you can't cash in on your bubbly image once you're older. Anushka is now past 30, so she has to do some kickass work to consolidate her position, else she will be on the way out.

It'll be great though. Both Virat and Anushka may retire in their 30s. With all the money they made, they will have so much time together and time to spend with their kids. Best! Oops, I digressed.

Anyway, Preity had offered whatever she had to offer as an actress. She's still pretty well-off anyway. She was not in any hurry to get married either, and boldly got married in her 40s. She seems to be having fun in life and doesn't seem to be missing movies much... so good for her. Her husband also seems like a cool guy.

Never got the hype around Preity and her dimples. There was nothing extraordinary abt her acting either hence she got replaced by other actresses.

Preity could never do a Gupt, Devdas, Raincoat or even a Fanaa. She doesnt have the talent nor the dept. Okay forget acting - Preity does not have superstar status, which Aishwarya does, and to some extent so does Kajol. They are really big stars with strong fan bases. I barely ever see anyone on this forum who is a Preity fan let alone on any other sociail media outlets.

I wont even get into Rani because the movie Black alone destroys everything Preity has ever done 😆

I really wish Aishwarya did Zaara's role, it wouldve been so frickign awesome to see Rani-Ash-Srk!

I am not a Preity fan.Rani's Black alone would destroy anything Kajol and Ash's has ever done.Ash's Jazbaa and Sarabjit are enough to convince she would have been a misfit for Zaara's role. 😉
