Many beautiful actresses are there in BW but not many attractive heroes! Why ?

the attractive ones dont get popular...women wont watch a hero's item song and go to his movies just for that

u can't blame everything on nepotism...nepotism takes u so far only...i would say that the audience espeially the female s look for something much more than the looks...they look for charm, charisma, maybe intelligence ...not just looks...that is why...actors like SRK, Ranveer, Rajkumar Rao, Irfan Khan , Nawaz etc find acceptance from the audience despite the fact that they are not traditionally good looking like a Salman or a Sid are...

Because usually handsome men don't act and they might not be rich to pay and get a role 😆

Because the audience is predominantly male, and men make decisions on which movies to watch. They'd prefer movies with pretty heroines but couldn't care less about handsome heroes.

Explains why actors like Rajnikanth have such a following whereas the most famous actresses have all been beautiful looking

I'm not sure if more men are interested in bollywood rather than the women. It is probably equal?
