Part 8-
Avni finally stopped in an abondoned street, she turned to face Neil "Stay away from me" her fingers trembled as she held onto her arms tightly
When he stepped forward she fell to her knees, hissing in pain
"Is this man bothering you"
Avni was to scared to reply, her head spinning, the two men didnt take her reply positively and grabbed Neil
"What kind of man are you to mess with a woman"
"Im her boss I didnt"
One man lifted his knee and kneed him in the stomach
"Does that give you the right to chase her"
Neil hunched over groaning
"Stop, stop he didnt do anything " Avni shouted
"No, its okay miss, he needs to be taught a lesson dont be scared"
He was hit in the jaw, a sickening crack could be heard as his head fell back
He was pushed to the floor and the man pressed his foot into Neil's back
"You be careful you dont do anything to a woman again" and they walked away
"Sir, im so sorry, sir "
"I dont know whats up with you Avni, but that wasnt okay"
"I know, I know I thought you were someone else"
"Someone else" Neil asked
"I uh look it doesnt matter come on, lets get you back to the hotel room"
When they finally arrived, Neil went to his room to wash his face when Avni saw a file on the bed
"Avni, read that file for me please"
Avni picked it up, opening it her eyes widened, it had lots of details of what she had done to Vidyut
She pulled the paper out and looked around for a hiding place
They have clearly done a background check on her, and if Neil found out she would lose her job
Hearing Neil open the door she held the paper behind her back
Neil looked on at Avni, his body ached
"What have you got behind your back"
Avni stepped back, making Neil step closer.
Avni's back hit the wall, Neil stood, his nose hitting hers
"Avni Avni, you should know not to hide things from me"
Her breaths were laboured and her eyes shut when he nuzzled her neck
"Its nothing important"
"Why don't I believe you" he whispered, his eyes now hooded as they focused upon her pink plump lips
She was beautiful, her eyes were enchanting, she was mysterious, always bringing him in and then pushing him away
His fingers wrapped around her wrist, her eyes opened, staring into his
"If I let you go, if I believe that whatever it is behind your back isnt important then will you do me a favour"
"Anything Sir"
"Tell me about Vidyut"
Neil pulled away, making Avni fall back
He knew, he had already saw the files
"What do you mean"
"Earlier, you said that name when i came close to you"
Avni let out a sigh of relief, he didnt know what she had done
"Just an ex Sir, nothing important"
"Did he hurt you Avni, because if he did, I will find him"
"Thank you but he cant ever come back into my life any more "
"Then why are you so scared whenever anyone comes close to you, you dont smile, you dont laugh"
Avni looked to the side "Life isnt funny, im not scared, just jumpy"
"Then you're living wrong, let me show you how to be happy Avni"
Avni let out a harsh laugh
"How are you going to do that"
"Like this"
Neil stepped forward, placed his hand on her cheek and pressed his lips to hers
The room span around her, it seemed there was nothing else in the world but Avni and Neil
She moaned into his mouth and pushed her hands into his hair
It was easy to get lost in someone who was everything you dreamed of being
But life never went her way, Avni pulled back and slapped Neil across the face
"What are you trying to do, take advantage of an employee, how dare you"
She turned to walk away but Neil grabbed her and spun her around, keeping ahold of her in his arms
"Stop pretending like that wasnt what you wanted, you cant hide from me Avni, I know you want me, you enjoyed that, just as much as I did"
Avni tried to pull away but Neil held her tighter, pushing her hair out of her face
"Stop fighting this"
Avni's breaths were heavy and her eyes dark
He let her go and she fumbled back, bent down and grabbed the file and walked out!
