Oh Boy Jesal - You do have a long gripe with the show. I understand what you are saying, I will try to explain what I make of this new shift.

- Right now we know the back story between Advay and Chandni's family and what happened 16 yrs back. We know the broad specifics of What happened. There is some things left out as to how Indrani orchestrated the whole thing and get the mob involved but we pretty much know that she was the master mind.

- Now Advay has dealt the first blow to V's family by marrying Chandni and then dumping her after 1 night. So next he should technically go on to destroy everything that V's hold true but then that makes it a serious drama. And this is a soap drama so we need things to be spread out over a period of time.

- So right now after the first blow, Advay has moved back to his home because he feels he needs a break. Being on a revenge driven thing makes you emotionally exhausted - So he just extracted himself out of the toxicity and moved out.

- Would he have gone back to Indrani to deal the final blow. Yes he would have because that would make his revenge complete but now the show is poised at an interesting point. Till now Advay saw Chandni through her family and their interactions but now Advay is going to see Chandni for what she is truly.

- The love story has to develop with the Misunderstandings surrounding them because both has assumed the worst of the other. And it is preferably they do it without Indrani in the picture because when Indrani comes back there should be some progression/possessiveness from Advay and the zeal to fight Indrani to save Chandni.

- Regarding Chandni she is not going to be tit for tat female lead. She is going to be resilient girl and I guess that is needed because no matter how you see it Chandni caused the destruction of Advay's family. So yes she needs to redeem herself and heal Advay from his hurt. That is why FL here is not childish but someone who is mentally strong.

Don't worry not always Advay is going to win now. But it won't be in tit for tat kind of thing. It would be silent strength of Chandni taking on Advay's wrath.

I mean...I don't even know what to say anymore? What really took the cake was Nani actually using the 'shaadi ka rishta' bull to get Chandni to come live with the man who literally hates her with every fiber of his being, has no qualms in humiliating her, and is set to torture her for as long as she's around him. And Nani KNOWS this. She KNOWS how Advay feels and what he plans to do.

And Chandni, unsurprisingly, falls for Nani's garbage. I mean I get this is a TV show, we know the leads are 'meant to be' and will fall for each other but I thought of all the women who go through something similar in reality, where they come back to their abusive household/husband for the sake of 'shaadi ka rishta' and it left such an awful, bitter taste in my mouth.

So I foudn out from someone that Nani told Chandni that 'bhale hi kitni mushkil imtihaan kyun na ho, tu kabhi peeche nahi hategi' ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I can't even begin to explain how wrong this was to say considering the situation and the young woman involved.

Ok *insert hysterical, frustrated laughter here* I'll be back when CVs finally decide they're going to show Chandni fight back. Until then, I don't have the heart to watch her suffer in humiliated and be physically and emotionally and mentally abused.

I have nothing to say for Chandni's characterization. Because whatever I will say, that won't be enough to describe my level of disappointment. I am just tired of watching ML abusing DID( damsel in distress), till the time even the ML becomes tired of doing the same thing over and over again.😆GK is still stuck in 20th century where these 'sindoor,mangalsutra,kaara,bindi,agni ke fere' might have some values. But this is 2017 for heaven's sake. Being a PTSD victim doesn't mean you will forget self respect.I am just waiting to see how low can Chandni stoop on the level of self esteem because GK thinks she is an ideal beti/bahu.
