Q. Why movies of Akki don't get huge opening and aren't big grossers like the Khans??

Ans. Because he simply isn't a big star like the Khans. But one more reason is that he does too many movies in a year due to which the audience gets divided as it gets monotonous to watch the same actor again and again. Khans come once or a twice in a year due to which it raises the curiosity among the fans and the audience. Also Akki doesn't releases his movies on big holidays like Eid, Diwali, Christmas which gives a lot of boost to the box office collections.

Ans. Well, because he never a got a crazy fan following, atleast not like the Khans. There can be many reasons behind this. One reason is that he did a lot of bad movies in 90s, which was the initial phase of his career. He has the highest no of flops among the present Superstars. He doesn't has any memorable movie to his credit except Hera Pheri. By a memorable movie, I meant that a movie which has got a cult status among the audience and is universally acclaimed. It's these memorable films which help an actor in increasing his fanbase especially in the initial years of his career. Akki has done alot of films but most of them are just forgettable or will just appeal to his fanbase and not the neutral audience.

Also Akki was never great actor tbh. Neither he was that good looking or charming to have a big female fan following. His strong points were action and comedy and he only survived because of that in last two decades. He was an action hero in the 90s with his martial arts style. But the audience was more inclined towards "desi" style of action, where the hero beats 20 goons at a time, like Salman or Sunny Deol. He also didn't have enough charisma which is required for an action star to attract the male crowd. So he never got a huge fan following either.
In 2000s he started doing Comedy when audience moved over action heroes. He did pretty well in that genre but Comedy movies were always termed as forgettable by the audience, so it never became big Hits.
By the end of the last decade audience got bored of his comedy and Akki started mixing up genres with nothing much working for him. From the last year Akki realized that his deshbhakti is selling at box office, so he started doing patriotic films. Now his age almost 50 and he can't increase his fan base at this point.

Akki doesn't have memorobale movies and roles like khans...he won't be able to become popular like khans even if he keeps giving non stop 100crr hits... may become Manoj Kumar who was no where close to BigB, Dharam or Dileep...HR is more popular than Akki...and soon likes of Ranveer/Varun will overtake him...he will kind of remain one among the top list but may never top the list

Bcz he was not Media's favourite in 90s unlike Khans and media created that hype over Khans ( same surname advantage too ) which Ajay and Akshay never had

SRK has worked with big industry names since the very start like Dharma, YRf, Subhash Ghai and these people made some.ivonic movies which people still love to watch. Even though I am not a SrK fan but I do like Pardes even though Mahima over acts in every scene.
