Why Akshay Kumar is not as popular as Khans??

He has been delivering continuously hits after hits

but still he is not as popular as Khans

While expect Aamir Khan ( who always feature in content films) other two Khans fail to give Hits if not featured in content movies Akshay Kumar has been acting more-or-less content driven movies for a long time.

Still his movies dont get opening like Khan movies.

He has survived in the industry for a long time...contemporary of the Khans..still very much relavent to the industry...fit, handsome, has a patriotic, down to earth image

but where does he lack the he still doesn't have popularity like the Khans and his movies dont do business of 300 or 400 cr??

Maybe because the Khan's started their careers with romantic movies while Akki started is career with action movies. Romantic genre gave the two Khans am edge with a huge female fan following. While after a few flops here and there Amir gained popularity because of the different content of his movies.
Akki still is called and known for his Khiladi series and he hasn't been able to shed that image even after doing quality movies like special 26, airlift, baby, Rustam and so on.

For example, Jolly LLB 2 which is a full on entertainer collected only 107 cr..just imagine how much it would have collected if it had any of the three Khans ( not sure about Srk though)

some how his movies dnt trend beter in 2nd week onwards
