Why general audience who can go to watch and spend money on Dilwale dont go to watch JLLB 2?

It's apples and oranges.
Some like quality content while others will watch anything which is served by their favourite.
Not everyone likes subject oriented movies.
Many people didn't like Dear Zindagi. We were 8 friends who went together and none of them liked the movie whereas I did.

Akshay lacks iconic role like Prem or Raj. He simply could never cause craze thanks to his association with mentor who placed him in B Grade movies. Nor did he become complete part of industry (even after marrying Twinkle) nor did he belong to any camp nor was he amazing actor nor did he mix well with film world.

In his own way he is very popular. He is like Ajay. Even in Khan Tsunami, they both retained their own identity and still deliver goods. Though judging from his lateast and his consistent BO record, I can say he has somewhat arrived... 😊

Problem with akki is that when akki does movies with big banners he does movies like Brothers 😆

If Aamir Khan's films are biryani - they come once in a long time, but whenever they do you feast on them because you miss having such good food. OTOH, Akshay Kumar's films are like dal chawal, you have it so regularly that you don't get to realize how much you like it. But if you don't get to eat dal chawal for a lot of days, you will realize how much you have missed it.

Yes but when Salman or Aamir do content movies they do business well.

So my point is why Akshay has failed to gain fans or popularity like Khan still being in the industry for so long.
He even looks better than the Khans at present.
His films should do at least at least 150-200 cr

The content movies done by Salman tank at the box office except BB.
Amir like Ponymo said does a movie once in while and he is worth the wait.

Akshay is good looking but he isn't tight with the people from his fraternity. He often says he doesn't go to parties and follows a early to bed early to rise concept. Socialising is ver my important in the industry and maybe that'swhy he hasn't worked with big banners.

Cuz he is overexposed in terms of movies and underexposed in terms of the rest
