I was glad to see Chandni finally remembering Dev in Friday's episode. Do you know after how many episodes Dev was mentioned? After 7 episodes; last time being when she remembered him showing her how to pick a lock.
Most of the times that Chandni has remembered him have been in passing only. Like very small "Tum kahan chalay gayay Dev" moments. It is my understanding there is no Chandni without Dev. I mean she was remembering him the first time we were introduced to her. She doesn't ask her mother or father or any sisters for strength when confronting the world after kidnapping, but she asks Dev; someone who she hasn't seen or heard from in over 16 years and she remembers him only in passing once every few episodes?
We can easily understand what Chandni meant for Advay as that has been given plenty of attention but I am not surprised audience hasn't felt the same about what Dev meant for Chandni because it simply has not been given attention.
Furthermore, the last time Chandni's kidnapping was mentioned was 8 episodes ago when she had to leave the house with PP and it was mentioned in that episode after more than 10 episodes.I assume Chandni's kidnapper is meant to come back and play a big role? She is badnaam in the whole town, her wedding rasams are going on and no guest even mentions it once??? How do you expect the audience to connect to that and the female lead when CVs have had amnesia just like Chandni's dad regarding her kidnap.
The last few episodes have been master pieces. I request you to please focus a bit more on Chandni and her past especially in relation to Dev and her kidnapping as that is one big gaping hole in your story at the moment.
