Confirmed: Abhishek Bachchan to play Sahir Ludhianvi in Sanjay Leela B

Speculations around who would be playing
the role of Sahir Ludhianvi in Sanjay Leela
Bhansali's next have been going on for
quite sometime now. Names like Irrfa Khan,
Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan among
others had cropped up but nothing official
has been announced.
But now it seems, Abhishek Bachchan has
given his nod to the movie. Abhishek will be
slipping into the role of the legendary poet,
who is best remembered for his songs like
Jinhe Naaz Hai Hind Par Woh Kahaan Hai
(Pyaasa) and Woh Subah Kabhi Toh Aayegi
(Phir Subah Hogi), Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar
Hoon, Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein and others.
Reportedly, Bachchan junior is getting in
shape to play Sahir's character. He has lost
almost 12 kilos of weight to look lean in the
movie. He is also familiarizing with the lyrics
of his songs, as a part of the prep for his
character.
A source close to the actor confirmed the
news to us and also added, "While everyone
is thinking that he isn't taking up projects
because he is busy with his sports ventures,
Abhishek plans to surprise all with his prep.
He has been listening to Sahir's songs and is
also reading up a lot on him. At the same
time, he is also sweating it out in the gym,
because he has to lose weight for the
movie."
Adds another source, "The movie is
expected to go on-floors soon and Sanjay
Leela Bhansali along with the crew is
figuring out the schedule."

He is a decent actor

SLB gets soo much over obsessive about his projects that I refused to believe he has even a fraction of seconds to think about something other than Padmavati
