<Scene 11>: Possessive child..

O: "To teek hai.. kar lo us bandhe ki saat shaadi.. yehi chahthi hai na tu.. kar lo.." Omkaraa fumed and turned back and knelt down and banged at his color palette.. he is not prepared for her to say yes for this.. the bottles fell down and glass and colors scattered everywhere on the floor..

Gauri was frustrated at this anger filled conversation. She was expecting him to say something but this conversation is going nowhere.. she was exhausted so was he... She felt bad about the way he was looking..

She went and stood before him while he was still kneeling down..

"Omkaaraji aap kya chahthe hain. Agar aap ko pata laga na hain ki saadhi ke bhare mein hum kya soch rahe the to sun leejiye.. humhare liye shaadhi zindagi mein ek baar hote hain jo humhare liye ho chuke hain.. aapke liye joota hi sahi, humhare liye woh shaadhi sankar ji ka faisla hai.. hum zindagi akele hi jeena chahte hain.. humaari maa ko dekhne ke liye.."

Relief and pain came at the same time in Omkaara's face. He din't know what to say. With overwhelming emotions all he could do was to clutch her waist and bury his head.. Gauri certainly did not expect this.. She felt she kinda got the answer that she wanted. Actions can express a thousand words put together.. Her Jatadhaari hippie pati, whom once she was revering as God was clutching her like a stubborn child who would not let go of his mother..

She was stroking his long thick hair gently. Omkaara held her more tightly. She tried to lift him up but he wouldn't get up.. She lifted his face only to find his red swollen eyes.. Was he crying??

Gauri could not bear more.. She bent down and hugged his face.. OM lost himself in this whirlwind of  emotions hugged her tightly..

"Mere saare zindagi mera baap ki ghaltiyon se mera maa ko bachane me chali gayi.. Mere maa ko pal pal toot jaane dekha hai maine.. aur main kuch nahi kar saktha tha.. Har bete ke liye apna baap hero hote hain.. jiske saath woh mann ki baat bhi share kar sake or problems ko batakar solve kar sake.. Par mere baap ko humhari zindagi se zyaada apni lusty life important tha.. Mere maa uski pyaar toothe toothe pal pal mar rahi thi.. nashe mein doob rahi thi.. batao kisi ko aisa maa ke dekhe milta hai.. mujhe zindagi ne yeh hi diya.. Is chakkar mein Rudra aur prinku toot na jay.. yehi meri aur shivaay ka sabse bada responsibility thi..

Oberoi hone se sab ki umeed thi.. mein business chalaoon.. pesa zyaada kamaao.. Jis ladki se mein pyaar kartha tha.. Woh bhi ek stage pe..is chakkar mein pad gayi thi.. mera artist hona usko bhi problems lagne lagayi.. dad ke saath milakar business mein mujhe force karana chahthi thi.. To batao Gauri.. Mujhe aakhri life mein mila kya..

Jab bhi zindagi se peeche deekhoon.. meri bhaiyon ki pyaar ki alava.. mujhe kuch dikh nahi rahe.. Mujhe zindagi se zyaada umeed nahi hai ab bhi.."

Gauri's heart ached.. She never knew his heart was so very broken.. She felt sad that such a simple and honest person like him, who didn't have the weight of ego being a oberoi, had to endure this much pain.. "Money can't buy happiness" how true these words are.. she thought..

<Scene 12>: Pursuit of Happyness

Om kept on ranting and ranting as if he could not stop.. He could not control but pour his heart out to Gauri. He was very guarded and controlled his emotions until now. But he could no longer bear the weight of the emotions he was carrying as burden all these years..

Gauri was calmly listening to all of these embracing him in her arms and soothing his back.. This gesture may have made OM pour his heart out.. At one point he was emotionally drained and just buried his head in her shoulders.. Somehow Gauri felt her inner self melting at this heart felt ranting.. Her heart went out to this man who wanted love badly than anything right now. She slowly mad OM sit in the recliner.. Got a glass of water and made him drink.. OM regained his self a little bit. Still was looking at her expecting her to say something.. She didn't know what to express and how to express anything in words right now. She moved towards him.. Sat on his lap so that her eyes can meet his. She took his face in hands. OM was lost again..

"Main jo bhi kehti thi.. ab bhi manti hoon wo sab.. Mere liye aapki khushi se zyaada kuch bhi nahi.. Humhe wapas kuch bhi nahi chahiye.. Rishtha bhi nahi.. To batadhijiye, kya karna abhi..?"

OM was overwhelmed by this honest word.. He expected to hear this and he heard it.. He felt he needed to do justice to this unconditional love. He was willing to break his guard and surrender..

"Tu Gauri sharma nahi.. Mrs. Gauri Omkara singh oberoi ho.. Aur koi mane ya na mane..mujhe koi farak nahi padtha.. Humhari shaadi hogayi and tum meri biwi ho.. Sirf meri.." he looked into her eyes straight

She felt she was bound by the spell at this look

"Aap jaise hain waise hi chahiye mujhe.. Aapse hum kuch nahi mang rahe hai.. Humari ma ki zimmadhari bhi humhare hain.. Kuch bhi shartain nahi.. Bas agar aapko bhi lagta hai.. hum aapki biwi hai..to hai.. hum aapki biwi hain and aap sirf humhari Jatadhari pati hain..  Sirf Gauri ki Omkaara aur mujhe Mrs. Omkaara hi theek hai.. Mrs. Omkara singh oberoi naahi chahiye" she looked longingly in his eyes..

"Aapki pehchaan aapki kalakari hai. Wohi mujhe pasand hai.. chahe kitne bhi paise kyun na ho.. kalakari kareeda nahi jaa sakthe.."

OM hugged her wildly in happiness. He wanted to hear this exact word from his own people. No one expressed this like her.

Gauri was gasping for breath. He would not leave her and was uncontrollable.

"Omkaaraji.. Omkaa..raji..Chodiye humhe.. aapki thaadi bahut chubthi hai.." she wanted to lighten this intense moment.

He gave a naughty glance..
