Gauri was ready. She was feeling very happy to wear her first ever gift from her pati. She was looking in the mirror again and again to check if everything was fine. Omkaara opened the door and came inside. He was so taken in to her simple yet elegant beauty. The golden and white pearl saree was adding elegance to her petite frame. He was checking her out from top to bottom. Gauri again blushed.
"Omkaaraji.. hume kahaan lekar jaa rahe hai.." She asked to get out of this situation.
"Sirf Omkaara, samjhi tum?"
"Teek hain o baad mein bolungi.. batayiye aap humhe kaha lekar jaa rahe hain??"
"Kuch kam hai".. Omkaara was again checking her out.
"Kyaa.. sab pehna hai. Maine.."..Gauri was nervously checking her dress..
"Yahaan pe.." Omkaara pointed out her maang..
Gauri was looking shocked.. She never applied sindoor in her maang all these days.. She could not answer people if they enquired about her husband and all..
"Omkaara ji aap sach mein chahthe hain.. mein sindoor rakh loon. Log kya kahenge. Kya jawab denge aap.. kisi ko patha nahi naa abhi tak.."
"Sindoor leeke aao.." Omkaara said with stubborn voice.
Gauri was watching him filling her maang with sindoor.. She was quite emotional thinking about the flashback scene then during their marriage and now.. How things have drastically changed all of a sudden.. She wasn't still sure what brought this sudden change in him.. She knew him off quite well, his ideologies, his outlook on marriage when she was being chulbul. Last thing she expected from him, was him taking these rituals seriously.
Omkaara waved his hands before Gauri..
"Oi Chirayya Chulbul, Kahan kho gayi ho..??" He smiled flashing his teeth..
"Nahi.. aap yeh sab kab maane lage..? Aapko tho in sab mein viswaas nahi thaa na.."
"Haan zaroor ek wajah hai.. yeh sab ke peeche.. O main baat main bathatha hoon.. ab chale.."
She wasn't knowing where he is taking her.. but she din't want to know.. She had complete trust in him..
Omkaara knocked his mother's room.. Gauri was giving a petrified look at him.. He turned and smiled back. She was kind of knowing what he is up to.
Jhanvi opened and looked puzzled to see Omkara standing clutching Gauri's hands. She asked him to come in..
"Mom, aapse kuch baat karna hain.."
"Andar aao tum dono"
Jhanvi didn't miss to notice the sindoor on her forehead.. She was quite puzzled.
"O mom, it's a long story. But I will try to cut it short. Jab mein Bareilly gaya tha.. wahan iski zabardasti shaad ho rahi thi.. ek gunda ki saat.. Jisse mein land acquire karne wala thaa.. Gauri uss shaadi se bhagke ke aayi thi." Omkaara completed the full marriage story up until the phere part and restrained to tell the part where he threw her on the road like trash..
Jhanvi was hell shocked. She certainly didn't expect this from him.. He was a reserved person and little commitment phobic. He lives in his own artistic world. But she was not knowing what made such a person take a drastic step of marrying an unknown girl. She couldn't buy it was only for saving her. It was unusual of him when there were no pressures from his side.
She started seeing Gauri with new eyes.
"Om.. itna sab kuch hua.. tumne bataya tak nahi mujhe.. yah phir shivaay aur rudra jante hain aur sirf main nahi janti hoon??"
Omkaara gave a guilty look. "Shivaay aur rudra ko pata hai"
Jhanvi was disappointed. Omkaara was the one closest to her heart. He was her savior from tej's rubbish behaviours. She was her devoted son who agreed to marry a b*ch for saving her marriage with estranged husband. She felt very bad that her ladla hid out this big secret from her..
Gauri was standing there engulfed in guilt along with Omkaara..
