That's debatable. They were both extremely popular in the 90s. Alka succeeded in the early noughties, while Kavita found fame much before her in the 80s.

Out of all BW singers, I find Shreya to be the squeakiest.

actually ya i find like they have mucus i feel like making them gurgle
before singing to clean their throat or taking a brush n cleaning
their lungs out with long bristled brushes
frankly the new ppl in singing competition sings lot better now days..
my mom hears a lot of these participants n while entering or leaving her
room i do hear them often n i find these young ppl singing with natural
clarity..n freely ..many singers have the tendency to taking a pitch which makes
them so squeaky that it comes out like they have stopped breathing n will drop
dead 😆
