By bringing Om into this discussion you have just shown your bias against him, and I think you imply that people who are criticizing Annika for suddenly wanting to "fulfill" this forceful marriage because of the importance she gives to Mangalsutra and Sindoor are Om fans!
I think this is a very limited view. I gave my opinion as a fan of the show, not an Om fan. In fact, I am more a Rudra fan. But yes I like Om, because his character is "Real!". The things he faced have actually happened to people. I myself know such a person. I don't think that time in the pool he actually attempted suicide, he himself told that to Shivaay. But even if he DID, that does not make him an "Abala Mard", because, despite your flippant attitude towards it, depression is a real disease that a lot of people suffer with and some even commit suicide because of it. It's got nothing to do with mental weakness. Men are more susceptible to it than women. That is a fact. As for the Live in GF? I think that was poor writing. It was never implied at the start that Ridhimma had ever lived in London with Om. But suddenly they said they had stayed together. Poor writing to justify their track.
The SAME is happening with Annika. She was someone who never cared for traditions and didn't even really believe in God much. (Unlike Gul's previous heroines with their Devi Mayya and Allah Miya). It was a refreshing change. But suddenly she wants to teach Shivaay a lesson, so she is living in OM fighting for the Sindoor ki Haq? After being insulted so badly, if she wanted to FIGHT she should have called the Police on Shivaay! THAT is fighting for your rights. Not acting as his wife in the house, and fighting with a Vamp for her rights, while to the outside world Tia is Shivaay's wife and she is just an employee? How is that keeping her self-respect? Sorry, but they have shown Annika in a weak light just so they can get TRP by showing she is the Mahaan Bahu fighting the new Shagun!

Even I enjoyed the scene where Om stood up to ACP, and that scene proved he is willing to do anything for his family too.
