Hi Neha
as always I stalk your entire post and read them word to word. The positivity and the clarity u bring to the table is a gift. Absolute Gem of a post...🤗

Reg the Abla Naari and the Abla Naar Debate
Here i m asking a question

what does abla actually mean??If it means helpless then my post is ok...However if there are other meanings taken from the word Abla, my post does not make sense

The fact that shivvay being a man is not standing upto his marriage to Anika despite it being a forced one tells me he is abla. The fact that he is hiding behind Tia and despite having feelings for Anika is bowed down by his preconceived notions and ideologies says he is abla.
A man who is helpless in front of his daadi and doing his rasams despite not believing in them is abla

The question arises why does one do what one does
The reasons could be plenty one that comes to my mind is the debate between what rules" Heart or Mind"

But is he really an Abla Naar? No ways..he is what he is..

The SSO who was and is ruthless as far as his ideologies and beliefs stand. He has always said that he can die or kill for his family. As children we do not have much of a choice. As adults we have choices and it is this choices that make us what we are.

,

A strong women does not let the hardships of life tear her apart. .

But a women of strength goes on to accomplish what she wants even when she is torn apart.

I hate this phrase Abla Naari. I hate being called the weaker sex.
Should we carry on with the same prejudice? Women are as strong as men but they are only moved more emotionally than men.

It is the love and the care that a woman gives that makes her unique and it is again the love and care that the woman has towards her loved ones in her heart that makes her accept scenarios which make her look helpless but in the longer picture it will lead to the taming of the beast .

And in no ways is Anika an Abla Naari...She questions shivvay at every turn. She is respectful of the traditional rituals...Does not mean that she is Abla. It was only and only because of her love and respect for Daadi that she allowed her heart to dominate her mind.

She is the one standing alone in the man's world. Has the guts to give it back to the people who think of her as a puppet. She takes care of the people she loves, yet she stands up against the same people who have badmouthed her and done injustice against her. Not a person to keep quiet, a trauma in her life shaking her to the very core of her being

Her Identify lost, her self-respect lost. She is like a Phoenix. She will rise again from the debris of her relationship and the fact that this woman has the capabilities to rise again makes her "ABLE" and not "Abla".

It is when one is on a back foot that the true strength of character comes out.

Her silence should not be questioned. It will be this silence which will turn golden and pave the way for a better future. Being Silent is by no means considered to be Abla.

Abla Naari is passe..It is Able Naari now

abla means powerless, naari means lady. A lady without power, which i have not seen till now. Has anyone?

ABLE

A= Ability to withstand any difficulty

B= Balls to stand up in a so called men's world...Badass

L= Loves the people who care for her

E= Efficient in her endeavors

WOMAN

W - Wonderful

O - Outstanding

M - Marvelous

A - Adorable

N - Nice

This is how i define Anika 's character.

Hope this post is not too long..

I never write so much😆

Am speechless after reading this Mugdha...thank u for going thru d entire post n presenting the gist so beautifully n I loved how u ruled out Abla with Able!
So wonderfully expressed d emotions of a woman who was wronged, but still standing strong...and true wen u say that her silence is not her weakness, its her way of showing that she is unaffected with all dat is happening around her n those accusations n insults, I love d way u portrayed a Strong Woman through d Able Naari phrase...winderfully expressed! Kudos 🤗 ( Am frm phone, wanted to write more but wil discuss wen I come frm PC on AT later :) )

Thanks for defending anika. Those who think she is behaving like an abla nari dont stop to think the magnanimity of her situation. She is a girl with no family, no connections and a little boy to fend for,She has struggled all her life and stood up for her self

but this circumstance was different for her. Here was a man forcing her for whom she had a soft corner. Such a soft corner that she was ready to do anything to save him from a murder charge. So when he forced her like that cant people understand for while she might not have even realised whats going on and why. She had not expected him to behave like this, So its only natural that she felt bogged down and cried for a while. And seriously how many days has it been to the wedding?> Anyone would feel down for a while. So why judge her so harshly. I am sure Anika's fighting spirit will be back

Also those who want her to go away, I want to know isint going away a cowards way out?

People who have made their mark in their field have not done that by going away. you take any grat personality. Every one had circumstances which bogged them down for a while but the stood up and fought

staying is fighting is brave not going away

Secondly anika will not go away for the simple reason that this is a show and she is the female lead like it or not, thats the facy. So she going away will not contribute to the story

And now after shivaye has sold the house people should stop hoping that she will go away

For me Anika rocks and always will

Thank u Nandini and love u back for ur pov too😆
I hated wen Anika risked her image for Shivay wen he just Fired her a day back for his sister's fault, I absolutely hated it and expressed my disappointment over that act of hers.
But later, it was shown, how much she truly cared for him n his family n he reciprocated back by taking the beatings from d goons intentionally n a bucketful of water by Anika😆 By asking Tia to not accuse Anika after wat all she did for him, he truly was moved by her sacrifice!
If Anika was strong then, she is much stronger now! She did it for her brother, for Shivay, for Oberoi Family's name, for her love for Dadi...but wat about herself? Its not easy all that she has done for others, some people who were not even related to her, but she still did it, doing it and is silent, not taking anymore nonsense but giving back wen needee, yes she is being Stronger!
Her mental trauma, her emotional state, the new changes in life, there's so much she us coping up with and expecting her to react and scream n run away leaving Shivay and his family at this point of time, is a little to much, she is only being human!
And agreed, its cowards who escape, brave ones stay, fight n make a name for themselves and make their presence felt, Anika will do the same In the time to come!

Your explanation about "abla man " &"abla woman " ,is awesome. It is absolutely right whatever you have said.Now-a-days people can easily show finger to woman whenever she is little bit weak but forget to show same finger to man when he is weak or it may be possible that they may not be notice man like they notice particular girl 😳

i read yr post & i still have some Que :

- When any man even if once you loved , is denying to accept you as his wife ,insults you so many times then how can you still keep relation & bear more torture? & why ? where is self-respect to a girl who herself once said that Girl first should have to respect herself ?

A very apt quetion.
This is what happens if you want to build something out of dust. My q. is why is it of importance if the man accepts you as his wife or not? The elders and the family has. Should one mans say matter here? yes but keep in mind a family who support the women in difficulties is a very strong support system. She gets the love and respect of the rest of the family as of now. That is important because we know that Shivayee has fallen for her hard. It is not she who can feel his presence, her problems that radar is fitted with Shivaye. I would say if a women is not retaliating do not take that as her weakness. It takes tons more to bear then to retaliate. It takes more to stand for what you belive in who you care about and respect your own marriage.

I am not saying that she sud bemore tortured or so. but her silence is no weakness. She could have screamed about Tia being marrid but she dosent. Tia thinks that Annika kannot prove it and thus is no danger to her, but her small reminders of it to Tia is enough to set a snowball reaction.

I've continously repeated this that I haven't seen her loose her self respect once despite the magnitude on which her life and relations have changed. When a person has self respect words aren't the only means to convey that - their body lang, silence, looks depicts it. Shivay having the backing of NKK from birth, during his tall cries looks like a delusional fool whilst Anika in silence looks more honourable.
I equally can't see how crying and not giving back tit for tat means character butchered +'abla naari'! Isn't she HUMAN? Doesn't she have the right of release after such extreme circumstances and life changing events? Even the best of us would crumble from the sheer impact!

When you've been alone for the majority of your life in which you required a guardian - to receive something similar from Dadi it's not easy for Anika to disrespect her words.

Added to the fact that although it's 2weeks on screen it's only been 2 days on the serial time line.

Loved your post.

Nice post, neha. I agree anika is no abla nari. I just caught up with this weeks episodes and from no angle do she look like she is taking anyone's shit. She's been giving it back to shitia in a subtle way, and I guess that's where peoples' frustrations lay...that it was subtle and not overt. Well, looks like people will get their wish soon. That precap has made everyone happy 😆
