Kajol's Voice was Dubbed in Dushman? And Deepika in OSO?

I can undersatnd Deepu's but was Kajol's voice really dubbed?

Why would they do it?

Dushman came when she was doing well and could emote too.

They could use a voice artist for the double role, but as per WikiPedia both characters were dubbed.

And she won awards inspite of being dubbed? I thought if it's dubbed then they r ruled out for awards. I mean kajol

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Though it certainly makes for good trolling. Kajol had a DOUBLE role in the movie and Tanuja Chandra and Pooja Bhatt thought it would be more believable if the twin sisters had different voices. Hence the sister who has a limited screen time and who is killed off has another person dubbing for her.

I found it... " I dubbed for Kajol because she was not available for dubbing for Dushman. The film had so much screaming and she had a double role so she lost her voice for a few days. She did some part of it and I did the rest."
