Let us have a look of the impressive and interesting Journey Arjun has in entertainment industry in the past 12 years.
Arjun started his career as a model and had featured in a number of commercials for BPL, Samsung, Sugar Free besides also featuring in a few music videos and corporate commercials.
His stepping stone in the field of acting was as Ankush in Disney Channels kids show Kaarthika' (2004) where his co-star was Jennifer Winget, though the show telecast in 2008. The following year Arjun made a cameo appearance as Vikram in the immensely popular Youth show Remix (2005) on Channel Star-One. However, his big break was SAB TV's highly acclaimed youth show Left Right Left (2006-2008) where he played the role of good-at-heart drunkard, Cadet Alekh Sharma, who had suffered a lot in past , had lost his parents during his childhood and had been brought up in an orphanage. The ease and perfection with which Arjun played this role not only made Alekh an immensely lovable character but put Arjun in the league of top actors. His popularity soared, he got critical acclaim and he was nominated for several awards including the prestigious Indian Telly Award for 'Best Debutant' in 2006.
Soon after LRL in 2008, Arjun bagged the role of Sanjay in Colors show Mohe Rang De (2008), but soon he opted out of it to play the role of Mayank Sharma in yet another Star One Show Miley Jab Hum Tum (2008-2010). Arjun's superlative portrayal of Mayank a studious, smart, ambitious & intelligent young guy, made Mayank (Mayu) the most lovable Sadu ever. Mayank made Arjun a craze among girls. In no time he became a household name. His fan following increased manifolds and he established himself in the industry as an immensely talented, successful and charming actor.
Post MJHT, Arjun worked in Imagine TV Channel's show Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna (2011) as Chandrakant Bhosle aka Chandu, anchored a travel show called Road Diaries (2012) for UTV Bindass, ventured into Punjabi films and played the role of Sukkha in the comedy movie Full Fukrey (2012), and also portrayed a character called Raghu in an episodic on Starplus show Teri Meri Love Story. Arjun has always loved to experiment with roles and characters, and he got the perfect opportunity to do the same in a highly experimental short film "I Guess (2012) under the banner of KroSS-Over Films.
Year 2013 brought Arjun back on screen in a new avatar in Star plus show - Kaali Ek Punar Avatar where he essayed the role of Inspector Dev on a mission to help a mother seeking justice for after the untimely death of her son.
Year 2013 also marked the most beautiful event in Arjun's life when he got married to pretty & gorgeous Neha during May, and together made a guest appearance in a couple of episodes of SAB TV silent comedy show Chintu Ban Gaya Gentleman during their trip to Malaysia. Then Arjun played Aditya in SAB TV show "Jo Biwi Se Kare Pyaar (2013). The show had a unique concept where every episode focused on preparing a dish and its recipe, infused with the regular humour and situational comedy drama of a daily soap.
In 2014 Arjun appeared in yet another episodic show "Yeh Hai Ashiqui on UTV Bindass channel. Arjun did yet another short film titled Caught in the Web which has been released online during 2014 and is got appreciated in several short film festivals. Same year he also shot for his Bollywood venture "Direct Ishq which released in 2016.
In Arjun's words-" I like experimenting .I wanted to do something which has grey shades so I decided to do Karan." Arjun's scenes in this short film are highly performance oriented.
The year 2015 has been indeed a special year for Arjun professionally and also personally.
Arjun and Neha were blessed with Ayaan on 21st January, 2015 and as Arjun says life has only been better and positive since then. Arjun signed to Shikhar in Meri Ashiqui Tum Se Hi in March the same year, and later that year came one of the biggest shows in his career, Naagin.
