Why should Navya's achievements to attributed to Nanda's and not to Bachchans ? If she writes poetry people will say she has Harivansh Bachchan's gift and rightly so because he is her great grand father on her mother's side. If she becomes an actress, people are first going to hey she has inherited BigB's and Jaya's and Raj Kapoor's acting genes if she is good and if she is terrible those genes have evidently not been passed on to her. Rightly so, because she is BigB's grand daughter of her mother's side and Raj Kapoor's great grand daughter on her father's side. Point I am trying to make, Navya Naveli Nanda the girl child who has both the blood and genes of the Bachchans and Nandas, not to say anything about her grandmother Jaya's is a product of both families. Just because she is named a Nanda, does not mean the legacy and gifts of both families are not passed on to her. From medical history to family history, both families count.

As for Aaradhya, if she becomes a Miss.Universe tomorrow, is it the Bachchan family legacy or the Rai family's ? It will be her mother's steps she is following. Aaradya is the product of two family legacies though she is a Bachchan in name. To treat a granddaughter descended from male and female differently is terrible. Even more so in a 2016 educated, supposedly progressive family.
