Coincidence or Discrimination????

Most main male actors in television are married and the female actresses single. This trend is also seen in the Film Industry . Most of the heros are married and their heroines are single.

Is this because there is a preferance for single female actors versus married ones?.Is this just a coincidence ?.

Honestly Buffie. I am seeing a pattern here. Its obvious for that some reason there is preferance given to single HEROINES.

This is of concern mainly because its injustice to married women. I think its important that women get equal oppurtunities. Regardless of their marital status.

Coincidence or Discrimination????

I don't think its coincidence. Married women have a low social acceptance for careers that include glamour and publicity. Traditionally society for obvious reasons deifies a stay at home mom taking care family over a married mom pursuing her career working outside home. However that hasn't stopped women in India to continue their acting career after marriage but still unmarried young women pursuing acting career keep on postponing their marriage plans vs. their bachelor men counterparts. They are precisely afraid of being sidetracked from their acting career and roles. Is that discrimination? I'm not sure.

This is just my thought...that as with girls being married there is more probability of getting her pregnant and so risk/uncertainty of their shows...could be a reason as man being married does not change much from their perspective...

One reason is as soon as an actress gets married her claim to be the Dream Girl among the male fans goes up in smoke. Girl fans on the other hand have no problem of accepting a happily married actor as their Prince Charming.

men i think fantasize about unmarried woman but woman can fantasize about married men, maybe thats the reason.. 😊

So the producers make such choices......

It is preference of men to see women as single...in order to be attractive...😕 Men are appreciatively challenged...😉 Women find married men even more attractive as they have proven their mate worthiness..

May be that is the reason why in RL Bollywood heroines fall for married men a la Hema , Sridevi, Rekha ....😃 ....
