The four of them came forward hesitantly. "Apaman kya hota hai aaj tumlogon ko pata chalega" Ashwathama said "apne kawach utaro" They obeyed helplessly. "Ab apne ghutno pe baitho" the next order came. They did that too. Ashawathhama walked to Nakul and said "Ek karya karo tum uthho" He ordered. Nakul got up. Ashwathama cast a menacing look at Arjun and then he took a whip and started beating Nakul. Nakul tried not to shout, he knew that would hurt his brothers. But Ashwathamma threw him against stones, and it was not long before Nakul was shouting in agony. "Ashwathama" Karn growled struggling helplessly against the ropes "Chhoro mere bhaiyon ko, chhoro unhe varna bohot pachhtaoge." "Achha" Shakuni said and he also took a whip and started beating Sahadev. Then Aswathama did something horrifying, he pulled the angavastra from Nakul's body, and then he stripped him off his dhoti and within moments he had strippped Nakul completely Naked. "Ashwathama" Yudhishthir shouted "Yun kayaron ke bhaati asahay pe atyachar kar rahe ho" Ashwathama did not reply, he just started beating Nakul harder. "Mere daas hain yeh" Ashwatham said "Main jo chahe karun." "Mere bhai tumhare daas nahi" Duryodhan said "inhise puchh lo" Ashwathama said "kyun nahi ho tum mere daas?" He asked pointing towards the four sword men near the trees, "Haan hain" they agreed just to save there brothers' lives. Jungle was field with screams of nakul and Sahadev. "Arey Arjun" he said stopping for a moment "tumhare saath kya kiya jaaye" He thought "Haa, aaj tumhara bhi chir haran hoga" he said with his eyes glinting "par pehle tum apne brihanna la swarup ein to aao, pehno yeh saari" he said throwing him a saree. Arjun nodded in no. "Nahi achha" he signaled some soldiers, who went and started beating Dushyasan brutally. Arjun still hesitated to move. Then Ashwathama did something gruesome, he dragged the naked Nakul to a mud puddle near by and ducked him in it, making him lick the mud. "Nahi Ashwathama" Arjun said rushing to Nakul, and trying to pull him back from mud but the swords men near his brothers throat stopped him. Ashwathama made Nakul crawl in the mud. "Nahi Ashwathama" Arjun said sinking to his knees "Tum jaisa bologe main karunga, mere bhaiyon ko itni yatna mat do" he said in a defeated tone. He picked up the saree and wrapped around himself. "Kaho kya karna hai?" he asked in a woman like voice. "Ab uchit hai" Ashwathama said, turning his attention to Arjun "Apne nritya se humara manoranjan karo Arjun." "Main karta hun" Arjun said "Par inhe marna banndh karo" He pointed to Dushyasan and Sahadev. "Thhik hai" Ashwathama said after thinking for sometime "par tumhe inke hisse ki maar khani hogi.." "Main prastut hun" Arjun said. Ashwathama smirked and signaled the soldiers and Shakuni to leave those two, they were almost half dead. Nakul was shivering behind Ashwathama. "Shuru karo Arjun kshama karna Brihannala" Ashwathama mocked him. Arjun started dancing. The soldiers laughed at him, shakuni and Ashwathama mocked him, but Arjun continued. Karn and the others tied to the tree either wanted to die themselves or kill each and every of their brothers tormentors. They struggled against their ropes, their pain wasnt physical but it just burnt their heart to see their little brothers who they were supposed to protect taking all these silently to save their lives. After Arjun had danced for sometime, suddenly a whip landed on his back. Ashwathama started beating Arjun and he did it mercilessly. Arjun's body was soon wounded badly, bud not one shout did escape Arjun's mouth, the pain, the humiliation the anger was just boiling in him. He just waited for an oppurtunity but could see none. Ashwathama kept on throwing him around and by mistake Ashwathama threw him at Karn. Arjun who was about to fall stabilised himself by holding on Karn's shoulder. Karn felt so helplessly, damn he couldnt even hug Arjun and comfort him. but he had a plan and it was an oppurtunity to convey it to Arjun. "Arjun meri bat suno" he said "Tum aur Sahadev mere aur Duryodhan ka apman karo, taki inhe lage ki tum apne bhaiyon ke liye hume maar doge. Woh tumhare haton mujhe marwane ki lalsa sambhal nahi paayenge aur tumhe shastra de denge, sashtra milte hi tum humare bandhan kaat dena aur in talwar dhariyon ko maar dena. Yeh kar sakoge tum dono?" "Haan" Arjun said. "Kitna rakt bah raha hai" he said looking at Arjun. Ashwathama who was enjoying Karn's inability to comfort his brother now decided to call Arjun back but not verbally, instead he started beating Sahadev. Arjun noticing this rushed and hugged Sahadev taking all the beating himself. Arjun also took this opportunity to whisper the plan to Sahadev. Ashwathama pulled him apart from Sahadev and threw him to the ground, he beat him brutally. Arjun knew he would probably cry holding Karn for hours but for now all his pain turned to anger. "Chinkho Arjun" Ashwathama said "Mujhse karuna ki yachna karo." He placed one foot on Arjun's head. "Jitna maar sakte ho maaro Ashwathama" Arjun said "Aur prarthana karo ki mere pran nikal jaayein, kyun ki agar main bach gaya toh tum ko kaal ki god mein sula dunga." Ashwathama hearing this turned Arjun and started whipping his chest and belly. "Main sarvasresth dhanurdhar hun iss viswa ka" Arjun said "nahi hara paaoge mujhe aise" "Sarvasrshth" Ashwathama laughed "Karn ko bhi hara na paaye tum." "Maine toh unhe maar hi diya thha" Arjun said "Mere bhrata Yudhishthir ne apne dharm raksha hetu hi unhe bacha liya." "Humare daya se hi toh yeh log aaj zinda hai" Sahadev said catching on que. They continued insulting Duryodhan and Karn, Dushyasan was about say something angrily but Karn signalled him with his eyes. "Achha" Ashwathama said hearing their rant "toh ek kaam karo." He dragged both Sahadev and Arjun and made them stand in front of Karn and Duryodhan's tree... "Toh maar do inhe aur apne baaki bhaiyon ko lekar jaao." He thrust a bow and some arrows in Arjun's hand and a sword in Sahadev's hand. "Nahi Sahadev, nahi Arjun" Bheem and Yudhishtheer shouted. "Maaron inhe Arjun varna nakul aur Dushyasan apne pranon se haat dho baithenge." Arjun turned and looked at them, two soldiers were holding swords over them. Arjun signalled something with his eyes and then turned to Karn. He put an arrow in his bow and waited for Sahadev to move towards the tree. As soon as Sahadev had taken his stance, Arjun was also ready and next events happened within a flash. There were three slashes from Sahadev's sword and three arrows fired from Arjun's bow and there lay for dead swords men and the ropes on the trees were cut. Simultaneously Nakul and Duryodhan hit the gaurds standing over them on their sheen and the gaurds fell. Suddenly all the brothers were free. Arjun tore of the Saree from his body and threw it to Nakul who used it to cover his lower body. And suddenly there was open battle. In front of the brothers valiance Aswathama's army crumbled like straw. Karn had dropped his bow and he started beating Ashwathamma bare handed, remembering his each and every torture on his brothers. They were like wounded lions, even more destructive even more dangerous. Shakuni tried to run from there only to be dragged back by Bheem, by then the soldiers had either escaped or were dead. Only Ashwathama and Shakuni remained, the brothers circled around them threateningly....
