RiVanya fans might b not liking it...but as a viewer who is not a fan, i think the twist is quite interesting 😆
There's nothing interesting in the typical love triangle but to each his own. I wish they had actually been original and made Shesha a vamp on the basis of her hunger for power instead of her BIL, but again to each his own. Though, I agree, the love triangle was hinted in episode 1 itself where Shesha pretends to be Shivanya (which is happening right now) and tries to kill Ritik. Once Ritik totally humiliates and rejects her, she will try and kill him, I feel.
And I disagree he used to see Shivanya who then later turns into black snake, which is Shesha. The first episode, they made do with Adaa in golden dress because they wanted to keep Shivanya being a Naagin too a secret from the normal audience. Which wouldn't have been possible and a shock factor if a tall, svelte naagin had been in a golden dress. That would have been a total give away due to the height difference. It also makes sense that as soon as he married Shivanya, he stopped dreaming the same dream that he had for years.
It's true, Shesha was always going to join the vamp group. Everybody expected it. And it's not just going to be one on one Naagin fight. Shesha is going to betray her sister, her clan and her God in a humongous way by joining the Mahismati family to destroy Rivanya and their life when Ritik rejects her. This, honestly I expected it, only not for her lust for her BIL, but because she would want to destroy Ritik as her sister chose him over her.
Not just SBS but many other shows announced the same thing. But the fans still expected different because it is a finite show. Well, lesson learned, Ekta will never change.
And last but not the least, these Jeeja-Saali scenes are not to explore Arda chemistry. 🤣 I'm sorry but it's hilarious. These scenes are just to justify her growing obsession and how that will lead to her betraying her sister, who she claims to love more than life. These scenes would have happened even if Kaanta bai from KHNH had played Shesha because it serves a purpose to the show/story and not for any chemistry exploring.
