When An Angel Took Birth! 29/12 {HBD Sanjana}

"Khushi...Main hun na. Stop worrying" Arnav tucked her sweat drenched hair strands behind her ear and wiped her tearful eyes.

"Agar kuchh - "

"Shh" He shushed her by placing his thumb on her trembling lips.

"Kuchh bhi nahin hoga. Trust me." He gave a small smile and kissed on her forehead.

Khushi looked at their entwined fingers and nodded before starting again.

"Hey Devi Maiyya madad karna...hey Devi Maiyya madad karna" She started chanting as she began pushing applying force downwards.

Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada was going through Labour pain. It was almost 9 months when she had discovered about her pregnancy. Everyone was ecstatic hearing the good news especially her husband; Arnav Ji.

"Hey Devi Maiyya..."Khushi let out a deep breath."...Madad karna"

And now after the most pampered 9 months of her life she was here lying on hospital bed. The doctor now instructing her for 'coached pushing' as Khushi exhaled and pushed in the beginning of contractions.

Arnav sat beside her holding her hand providing his support and strength and occasionally sprinkling kisses on her face. Feeling helpless yet trying every best way he knows to soothe her and lessen her pain.

"Hey Devi Maiyya madad karna"

Up Up Up in the heaven, Devi Maiyya shook her head and smiled down at Khushi. These two have come a long way. She sighed and watched.

Just few minutes more and then she will reward her favourite bhakt with the most beautiful gift ever. An angel!

Devi Maiyya smiled and turned back but the smile dropped seeing the empty space behind her.

"Kahan gayi" she muttered looking around.

Immediately she called her Sevaks who appeared and on the enquiry refused to know anything about her. Devi Maiyya tensed and starting pacing to and fro. The time was running.

"I have to do something quickly" she muttered looking down from the heaven, where Khushi struggled with the pushing.

She quickly turned around and left in search of her. Many more Sevaks came in her way and when asked about her, some saw her helping others with their wings, some saw her playing with the other baby angels and some saw her munching on the Jalebis and other sweets that were meant as an offering to her.

"Just how can I forget she is going to be none other than Khushi Kumari Gupta's daughter. Crazy and ek dum titaliya, fluttering everywhere" She chuckled but then realizes she has less time remaining.

She has to hurry - just as she thought she came across another Sevak who had seen her going towards the east lateral part of the heaven.

Devi Maiyya's eyes went wide with shock and horror. What if she got in the Evil Satan's way? His wicked and malicious mind is usually anyway and always in search of a chance to do something sinful and demonic.

And baby angels going that way wasn't a good sign. She really needs to hurry. Grabbing her Trishula, she hurled quickly through the air irrelevant to time and space.

As she landed in the east lateral part, she started looking frantically everywhere and emitted a long deep breath of relief when she found a bunch of baby angels sitting in a circle and playing and the one she was looking for was also among them.

Just as a smile bloomed on her face, it died the next second upon finding the evil Satan leering at the baby angels and making his way towards them.

Not wasting any more time, she jumped in Satan's way blocking his view and glared at him who in reaction, just frowned and glared back, not totally pleased at Devi Maiyya's entry at such a moment when he was just about to steal those Baby Angels.

"NO" Came Devi Maiyya's firm voice.

"LEAVE" her eyes blazing with fire.

"This is my territory" he roared.

"And the control is in my hands. Leave before I burn you down"

"Not at all" Devi Maiyya roared and suddenly a shaft of light flashed and went straight through the evil eyes and sliced him in parts, crumbling him into ashes.

She sighed and set the Trishula straight. She turned and walked back towards the baby angels. Her lips curving upwards into an amusing smile as she watched the wanted baby angel quarreling with others for something.

"What mine is mine. Give it back" baby angel shouted.

"And of course Arnav Singh Raizada's daughter" she thought and chuckled; stubborn and aggressive at times.

She was a mixture of both. The wanted baby angel grabbed the twig in her hands and moved back, running straight into Devi Maiyya.

Her mouth formed an 'O' shaped and she gulped. Devi Maiyya found her! How cleverly and with many difficulties she had escaped from her clutches. She had wanted to play with her friends but NO! Devi Maiyya was adamant to keep her with her and that had confused her.

She had never done something like this before, she had always shooed her away as she being a notorious and naughty baby angel. She smirked!

"Finally" Devi Maiyya said and Baby angel gave a small nervous smile.

"I..i was just"

"Humne aapse chup chaap baithey rehne ko kaha tha na hamare saath" Devi Maiyya spoke in a polite tone and Baby angel stared down in guilt.

"Come On. Let's leave. We don't have much time titaliya" Devi Maiyya held her up in her arms.

"But Why?" she whined and pouted.

"You will know soon"

"I don't want to go...aah my sunehri" she referred to the twig that dropped down from her fingers.

"You will get more down on the Earth"

"Really?"

"Yes. Lets not delay anymore" Devi Maiyya pinched her cheeks and started leaving while baby angel hung her head down and waved bye at her friends.

Devi Maiyya smiled in triumph as she reached on time with the baby angel. She quickly settled her in a flying cot and kissed her head.

"Don't worry Titaliya, you can always see me from the Earth whenever you wish. I'm never far" she added in a whisper then. "Your parents are waiting for you"

"Parents?" she asked in wonder playing with her wings.

"Yes. Your Mama and Papa. Go quickly, don't make them wait for so long. They love you immensely and are waiting for your glimpse"

"Sachi?"

"Muchhi"

"They'll give me anything I want?" she asked and Devi Maiyya grinned in affirmation.

And Baby angel's eyes twinkled in merriment before she started making the list of all things she'll ask for from her parents never realizing the cot now already flying in the air and taking her to her destination.

Quickly sitting up and sticking her head out, she waved back at Devi Maiyya who in return smiled at her.

And with a final push, Khushi fell on the bed back with a thud and the next second the room was filled with the loud wails of a cute tiny baby girl who carried chubby cheeks and a button nose just like her mother and brown chocolate eyes just like her father.

After dressed in a clean hospital gown, Khushi's joy knew no bounds as a teary eyed Arnav handed the baby girl to Khushi.

"She is just like you" Khushi whispered tracing her jaan's eyes gently who was now wide awake and staring at them in wonder.

Arnav joined her and chuckled, nodding in agreement.

"So these are my parents about whom Devi Maiyya told me about" Baby angel's mind activated and she broke into smile as Devi Maiyya waved at her up from the heaven.

"Meri Sanju" Khushi whispered kissing her baby.

"Haan?"

"Sanju. Sanjana? Achha hai na?" Khushi asked and then added. "Sanjana Singh Raizada" she grinned and looked up at Arnav with apprehension.

"Perfect" Arnav smiled back and settled beside her as they both together welcomed this little bundle of joy in their life.
