Ragini sat quietly observing Nachiket and Sameer talk. A sense of relief had washed through her body at Sameer's words and she couldn't thank God enough. And the Doctors. After all, she was not in a position to lose Nachiket. Not again.
There were no doubts in her mind about how much she loved Nachiket; and how she has always been in love with him -even when they were separated and were hating each other. She had hardly lived in all those long years, and now when finally, life had been looking up for them, the news of his illness had shattered them.

She sat quietly as they drove back home, replaying Sameer's advices. Sameer had asked Nachiket to continue the medicine for some more time. and to come for regular checkups for the next 3 months. One look at Ragini's face and Nachiket had agreed.

She had noticed his eyes on her for a couple of times, but had not ventured out her answers to his questions. And now in the closed confines of the car, he was fidgeting in his seat, nervous at her quietness.

Finally, when he parked the car, he asked
'Ragini, what is the matter? You are unusually quiet ...'

She turned towards him and he noticed that her eyes were brimming with tears. He pulled her in a hug and patted her back affectionately. He realised that she was overwhelmed.

'Nachiket, thank God, you are fine' she sobbed in his arms, 'If something had happened, I wouldn't have survived this time without you. '

'Shhh Ragini' he said, as he leant in to open the seat belt lock and pulled her in further.
'Let's put this beyond us Ragini. We are here with each other, that's what we have, and what we need.'

She extricated herself rom his arms and gently smiled through her tears, his fingers landed on her cheeks as they wiped them away.

He continued
'You are my strength Ragini. I never ever want to see tears in your eyes'.

'Chalo Nachiket, let's go in. The children are waiting.' she said as they both exited the car, and walked upstairs, hand in hand.

OMG guys - I just went through the whole debate of Nachiket being physical with women and Ragini not - I think it was typical lazy, sexist writing on the part of the makers to suggest that he had been physical with women in the US ... and they made Ragini stick to the same thakela stereotype of the Indian female who shows abstinence as proof of her love.. even if she had been physical, the makers would have shown her as regretting the decision her entire life till Nachiket came back into the picture as compared to Nachiket getting action and taking it in his stride..
Hope I'm making sense here.. lol

No no,
I mean part of why we're having this discussion is also because of the sexism entrenched in the show.

Yes, they tried to portray it as something only the male lead could do, which is what they follow with all their shows. The woman can never really do it with another guy.
