Salman Khan has always been associated with Sooraj Barjatya since Sooraj's very first film. Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), Hum Aapke Hai Koun! (1994) and Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), all these films starred Salman and the movies also did amazingly well at the Box Office. However, for Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003), Barjatya dropped his lucky mascot and the result is for all to see.
However, this time it seems like Sooraj does not want to take any chances. You will see Salman Khan in the film but in a very distinctive manner. The very first frame of Vivah will apparently be a poster of Salman placed in the bedroom of a character from the film. (most probably Amrita Rao). This will be a very unique style of presenting the lucky mascot a film.
Karan Johar is another director who always has his lucky mascots Kajol and Rani for in his films.
