Did Salman Khan Insult Sonu Nigam or Playback Singing?

There is no denying that Salman Khan's star qualities have often set the box office registers ringing. Not only has he got a knack of selecting the right films, but of late the star has also proved that he can even lend his voice as a playback singer. Remember the Main hu hero tera number from his latest production Hero? Well, fans went berserk over it and it topped the charts!

But, this time the actor may have taken the whole singing thing a bit too far, when he allegedly insulted real playback singers!

Salman was one of the stars attending Suron Ke Rang and was also supposed to unveil the T-Series new look at the event. Salman reached in time to enjoy the musical extravaganza and attended an almost half hour medley by various performers. Those present there confirmed that the actor seemed to enjoy the whole act and was humming the lines of popular numbers from the 90s, reported a bollywoodlife.com article.

However, when Salman was welcomed on the stage by the show's host the actor went on a surprising rampage! The audience was visibly surprised to see that the actor went on to allege that he does not need a playback singer to lend their voice in his movies! A source said Sonu Nigam who was also sitting there looked upset. "Sonu looked visibly upset about Salman's comments. Khan was adamant to prove that singers have a very easy job to do. He even went on to say that he has a decent voice that can be bettered with technology and made to sound good, then why would he need a Sonu Nigam or anyone else to croon for him. And obviously Sonu did not take this very well. In fact there was a fun segment that was to be shot between Salman and Sonu, which was then scrapped." said the source in Bollywoodlife.com.
