" Why did you say 'yes' to this alliance, Lav? You didn't have to do this. I am sure Papa would have understood it if you have said a 'no'. You hate NK for god's sake. What made you say 'yes' to this?" Khushi held Lavanya by her upper arms and shook her as she tried to bring her into consciousness as she believed that Lavanya had lost it to accept the alliance.
" Even you hate Arnav, but you are marrying him right Khushi? You are marrying for your love for me while I am marrying for Papa. Don't stop me, Khushi. If this marriage is to be stopped then it will be stopped but if destiny brought me and NK together again then destiny wants it and we can never go against destiny." Lavanya explained Khushi while holding her shoulder affectionately with tears flooding in her eyes, while Khushi stood numb with her comments.
" But.." Khushi's protest was turned away by Lavanya immediately,
" Arre be happy that we both will be married to the same house and we will be together throughout our life. We always wanted it, didn't we?"
The image of Lavanya smiling through her tears made Khushi grow emotional as Lavanya's loving nature showed the inner purity which she possessed.
" Are you sure you want this, Lav?" questioned Khushi for one last time, though she knew that her sister was not going to back off from what she had decided and she was right.
"As much are sure that you are marrying, Khushi. If you are dropping that plan, then count me in to drop this plan too." replied Lavanya while determination shone in her eyes, but the pain which was boggling her mind was known only to her. Only she knew what amount of self-restrain was called upon to refrain her eyes from shedding a few pearls formed of the scorching pain as she grew weak over Khushi's affectionate words.
Khushi took Lavanya in her compassionate and sisterly embrace as she let down those tears of excruciating pain churning her insides with disgust for those people who were the sole reasons of their pain.
Will Khushi ever forgive Arnav?

" WHAT? Shashi Uncle proposed an alliance of you and Lavanya, while Lavanya already agreed to it?" Arnav Singh Raizada who was on the receiving end of a pleasant shock that Khushi Gupta who showed to him that she hated him with all her heart was actually attracted to him was again on the receiving end of another shock which was pleasant for the brother in him, all thanks to another Gupta sister.
" Yes. Dadi said that she has given her consent for the marriage." chirped NK cheerfully whose feet seemed to be off the ground ever since he received the news.
" But Lavanya hates you and me right? How can she agree, that too without any kind of pacifying from your end?" The rational side of Arnav's brain wanted to think in the pessimistic manner while the emotional side of him had asked to him believe the news without any kinds of questions as his brother was finally happy.
All the cheeriness on NK's face seemed to fade as finally his grey cells started functioning in the right way. The awareness dawned upon him that Lavanya could have been somehow forced into accepting this alliance by her father.
" Do you think that she was forced into this, Bhai?" questioned NK in a meek voice which showed streaks of fear and concern for Lavanya.
" That seems to be the only possibility, NK. I think you should talk to her to know if she is happy with this or not. And if she isn't, I think it is better for you to dropout." Arnav's advice seemed to be a good option for NK, who nodded affirmatively at him before pulling out his phone to call Lavanya and ask about her feelings about this.
But that would have been possible only when Lavanya would have answered the call. A distraught and depressed Lavanya was skeptical about answering NK's call knowing the questions that would be bombarded towards her regarding the alliance.
Disappointed and distressed NK couldn't decide what to do when Lavanya decided not to pick his call. He kept trying her phone for more than score of times but it was of no avail, as Lavanya's determination was firm.
On one side there was NK's heart which said that he couldn't call of the relationship as she had finally consented their relationship while his mind which knew that there was a 'no' hidden deep beneath her 'yes' couldn't help but suggest that he should call off the relationship by giving any reason possible.
NK being the impulsive man he was, chose to go with his heart rather than his mind and his dear brother's advice. The obsession in him for Lavanya drove him towards the destination decided by both but unwanted by her.
While someone was blind in obsession, someone was concerned about the pain which his love would be enduring after receiving the piece of information had received. Arnav was continuously trying to contact Khushi over phone calls and messages but like Lavanya she was in no mood to pick up his calls thinking that he was calling to flirt with her.
Worried by the actions of Khushi, Arnav banged his fist against the wall, he was earlier leaning upon. It hurt his hand but he cared less, because the hurt which was brewing inside his soul was much intense and much tormenting than the physical pain inflicted on him by the wall. While someone was ready to take pain in her live, someone was hating him for the pain in his love.
Little did she know that there was a ocean of concern for her in his heart rather than an intention to flirt. Little did she know that he loved her more than she could ever hate him and she herself was on the reciprocating end of it which resulted in immense pain for her. After all, as the saying goes, love does hurt the heart.
But will Khushi be able to see beyond her pain?
