Hello everyone. I am back to bore you with another OSđ. Please read and tell me how it is.
If you have not read my other OS, please read it and tell me how it is. OS: NO REGRETS.
SS: A Place in My Heart, Always...
The relationship between a mother and daughter is sacred. The creatives of this show have spoilt it. Before leap at least there was a little sense in Ragini - Nishi scenes, but after leap they have completely butchered that relationship. Their scenes either ends up with one/both of them in tears or both of them having a yelling match. Most of the time, I do not understand what Nishi wants. She just yells at her mother. I did not like the way both of them (specially Nishi) behaved when they heard Nishi was infertile. I have written my own version of it. I hope you like it.

OS: The Queen and Her Princess
A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.
~Washington Irving
Ragini walked slowly through the hospital corridors with a paper in her hand. The paper had something that had the ability to shatter her daughter. She replayed the conversation that she had with the doctor a few minutes ago.
Ms. Patel, I have been working in this hospital for the past ten years. You know I won't make any mistakes.
But... But... This...
This is your daughter Nishi's report. She cannot conceive. She is infertile. I have checked the reports thrice. Please accept it Ms. Patel, the report belongs to Nishi.
It was easy for the doctor to say that, but, she was a mother. How could she simply accept' it? How could she just go to her daughter and say, "Nishi, your dreams are all broken"? She slowly sat down in a chair feeling devastated. A picture of her ever smiling daughter flashed in front of her eyes. Now, she must be the one to wipe away that smile. Did she have the strength? No, she did not. She did not have the strength to see her daughter break in front of her eyes. She wished that the earth would open up and swallow her or some supernatural power would make her run very fast so that she may run away from there. The world knew her as Ragini Patel, the strict single mother of two kids, but only one person knew her as Ragini, the mother who cries when a single drop of tear falls down from her kids' eyes. And for the first time in 9 months she wished that person was here to support her. She wished her Nachiket was with her. But, she was alone and alone she must go and face her daughter.

Nishi came humming into her room. She was surprised to see her mother sitting on the bed.
Ma, you here? What happened is everything all right?
Nishi beta, come sit here.
Ma, what is wrong? Your face is all wet and your eyes are red... Ma, you have been crying. Ma, what happened? Tell me. Did anyone tell anything to you? Did you get hurt? Ma... Please... Don't just keep looking at my face. Tell me na.
Nishi... Woh...
Woh... What Ma? Tell me. You are seriously freaking me out.
Nishi beta, do you remember the first time you watched Cinderella?
Haan Ma... But why do you ask about it now?
Beta, do you remember how you wanted a Fairy Godmother to come and make you a princess?
Haan, Ma. How can I forget that? And when Naani told me that such stuffs were not possible in real lives, I got so upset that I went to bed without eating. Then you came and consoled me, made me eat and sleep in your lap. I was so silly na, Ma?
Beta, do you remember what I told you that day?
Haan. You said Fairy Godmother did not make Cinderella a princess. In fact, it was Cinderella herself. The day she lost everything, her father, her lovely toys, her bed and her room, she did not lose hope. But she continued to dream even when she felt all her dreams were shattered. That made Cinderella a true princess. You can be a true princess, Nishi'. I really felt like a princess that day Ma. But why are you asking all this?
Because, the time has come to show everyone that you are a true princess.
Huh?
Ragini slowly took the reports and gave it to Nishi.
What is this, Ma?
Read it.
Ragini watched as Nishi's face changed from happiness to paleness. She felt her heart break. No, No, she cannot let it happen. She had to stay strong... for Nishi.
Ma? Is this true?
Ragini simply nodded her head, not knowing what to tell.
Ma... Ma... I can never become a mother? What will I do, Ma? What will Jignesh's family think? They will surely hate me. And Jignesh? He will leave me. Ma... I'll be all alone.
I will never leave you.
Oh... Ma... What will I do?
To see her daughter breaking in front of her was harder than she had imagined. She pulled her daughter close to her.
Beta... Look for hope, like a true princess.
Ma, that is just a silly fairy tale.
It may be. But the lesson that I taught you that day was not silly. Nishi, you may feel that all your dreams have shattered, but there is still hope.
Hope? Where is it, Ma? I don't see it.
I'll take you to a specialist. Dr. Choudry is not the only doctor in the world.
Ma, what if the specialist cannot treat me?
Ragini shut her eyes and tried to clamp down the same nagging fear that had been inside her heart from the time she heard the news.
Then we will see another specialist. But we will never lose hope.
Thank you, Ma. I will try not to lose hope.
That's just like a true princess. My Princess, Princess Nishi.
Nishi smiled a little through her tears and kissed her mother and said
After all I am Queen Ragini's daughter. Am I not?
