CHAPTER 18: HEENA'S MAGIC

Cabir knocked on the door.

Nandini: heyy cabirr. Come sit naa

Cabir: wuhooo someone's looking too good

Nandini: haha thankyouu

Cabir: By the way, Mai amms se milla abhi. She told me about your deal with aryamaan

Nandini knew what he was talking about.h
He just looked down without any answers.

Cabir: kyu kar rahi ho essa?

Nandini: (a little irritated voice) kya cabirr?

Cabir: Yeh shaddi. Kya natak hai yeh sab?

Nandini: natak nahi hai Cabir yeh. It's serious.

Cabir: EXACTLY.

Nandini: Dekho, amms really thinks that Aryamaan is the best for me.

Cabir: ooo hello madam? Shaddi tumhe karni hai amms ko nahi...

Nandini got up and looked the other way
Nandini: han so even I like him cabir

Cabir: ya right. You really think you can lie to me chotti? Really?

Nandini: Cabir I am not lying. Sachii i mean it.

Cabir: fine. Nahi baat karni. Ohkay. I am going.

He turned and was about to leave when two delicate hands grabbed his shoulder.

He turned and Nandini just hugged him. She was sobbing.

Cabir just stood there and patted his back.

Cabir: Nandu ek advice du?

Nandini:hmm

Cabir: rowle. Jitna rowna hai rowle. Just let it out. Kill the frustration. Their is no harm in crying if it helps remove some mental burden

She hugged him more tightly and cried even more.

They remained like that for sometime.

Nandini then broke the hug and wiped her tears.

Nandini: ohkay. Sit. Sunno meri baat please

They both sat down on the bed.

Nandini: Cabir...I..I just don't know what's happening.
Two years back things were different.
Tab my life was so sorted. And tab mujhe laga aryamaan is kinda perfect for me. I didn't know ab things would be so difficult

Cabir: pehle toh yeh batao what has changed in these two years..what stops you now?

Nandini: I don't know Cabir. Now i just don't feel like fulfilling this promise of marraige. I wish maine kabhi han ki hi nahi hoti.

Cabir: Nandini i dont know kuch nahi hota. You know it all. Close your eyes. Ask yourself. You'll surely get an answer. And jaldi karne ke koi zaroorat nahi hai take your time.

Nandini: hmm..i think you're right. Maybe i know but i am not ready to accept it

Cabir: Bang on. Yes.
Acha now mehndi ceremony has already started. Sab neeche hai..jaldi jao and freshen up..its mukti's day..hum yahin rahenge toh uss billi ko kaun sambhalegaa.

Nandini laughed at this and they sidehugged. Cabir just smiled looking at her and left.

Meanwhile, Aryamaan was walking down the corridor while texting someone. Suddenly, someone bumped into him.

Thankfully he caught her and his arms held her.

Aryamaan: Woopes, careful pretty lady.

"Phone pe tum busy the"

Aryamaan: ya. Sorry, my fault maybe. I'm aryamaan btw. Heyy.

"Hello. I'm alia. Coreographer...Kal sangeet function ke liye. " she smiled

Aryamaan: wow. I'd love extra classes for the event then (he winked)

"Heey aliaa" Manik came and sidehugged her.

"Woah, Hey Manik, how have you been?"

Manik:great. You tell me?

Aryamaan: you both know each other?

Manik: Ofcourse, same batchmate hai alia. I called her here for the marraige.
Alia: I'll catch you guys later. I need rest. Byee. (She smiled and left)

Aryamaan and Manik together then went to the main venue.

Mukti "Finally tum log bhi aa gaye...guys where is Nandini?"

Cabir "room mein..she's getting ready"

Navya "ohho. Hum leke atte hai usse rukko"

Cabir "naai..tum yahi raho na please..manik..manik? Tu please leke aa ja naa"

Manik "abey oo..vo 2 yrs ki bacchi thodi na hai..khud aa jayegi."

Aryamaan "aagaayi." (He pointed towards her and all looked in that direction)

Nandini was looking beautifulll.

Manik was about to say something when Aryamaan went up to her and sidehugged her.

Aryamaan: and who says sarres aint sexy?

Nandini just smiled.

Abhi: I love the colour by the way.

(He deliberately said that. Red was Manik's favourite colour)

Amms:Aaiyo tum bacche sarra time baat karte rahoge kyaa

Nandu, navya, mukti chalo mehni ki rasam shuru karni hai.

Navya: jiii challo

All three girls leave.

All the mehndis were looking beautiful. Special attention had been paid to the designs. They were traditionally morden and delicate.

As per his plan, Manik was totally avoiding Nandini. He showed her attitude.
Nandini too didn't make any efforts.

After the Mehndi ceremony was over, it was almost dinner time.

Nyonika came up to Mukti and praised her mehndi design.

Nyonika: Abhiii come here

Abhi: yes mum

Nyonika: Mukti ke hath mein mehndi laggi hai, she'll need help for eating so if you don't mind...

Abhi: ofcourse mum. Mai khilla dunga naa.

Nyonika: great.

Abhi took mukti to a table and fed her with his hands.

Mukti: abhi slow slow..itni jaldi jaldi nahi khati mai

Abhi laughed a bit and said: haha ohkay ohkay

Abhi: waise i loved this heena on your hand. It looks so pretty.

Mukti: aur mai? (She made an angry pout)

Abhi: tumhe compliment ki zaroorat nahi hai. You define every word of beauty.

Mukti: bas han bas. Bahaut cheezy tha.

They both laughed.

Nyonika and mukti's mum were just watching

Nyonika: I am so happy for them

Mukti's mum: yes same here. My daughter is indeed really lucky to get such a supporting husband

Meanwhile Cabir saw Mukti and Abhi busy in their romance while having dinner.
Cabir ka cupid ka bhoot jaag gaya, he goes up to nandini who was standing with aryamaan.

Cabir: Aryamaan, wo alia tujhe bulla rahi thi bhai

Nandini gave a questioning look

Cabir: arre alia tum nahi janti chordo..han aryamaan go naa she needs help

Aryamaan: help with what bro?

Cabir's POV:
yaar isko kaise bhagaauuu.

He saw amms passing by.

Cabir:ummm, ammms (he almost screamed)

Amms heard him and turned towards him "Ayyio Cabir tum chilla kyu rahe ho?"

Cabir:ummm..vo app kahan jaa rahe ho?

Amms: mai vo kuch guests ajj aa rahe hai, toh unko pick karne ke liye koi driver dhundh rahi hun

Cabir's POV:

wow. Thanks nandini ke Ayyiappaa. Kya timming hai.

Cabir:ajj sab drivers ki chutti hai. Mai..mai chalta hun apke sath

Amms:han thieke challo

She was about to leave when he again interrupted.

Cabir: naaai. Oh shit mujhe abhi yaad aya hai, vo mukti's mum has already given me some work. Ummm

Aryamaan: No problem Amms. Mai chalta hun

Amms: Han aryamaan chalo

He smiled at nandini before leaving and left with Amms.

Cabir wispered to himself:thankgod chala gaya

Nandini:ahem?

Cabir: what?

Nandini: yeh kya tha?

Cabir: kuch nahi tu zyada mat soch yeh bata tune khana khaya?

Nandini: Nahi I'll eat later

Cabir: no no no. Esse kaise laterr

Chal tu mere sath. He forcefully took her to the sofa where manik was sitting.

Cabir: Manik bro tu busy hai?

Manik: umm not really bol na?

Cabir: han vo yar yeh girls ko khanna khne mein problem hai because of this mehndi and all..so we'll have to help them..I mean I hope you understand

Manik: sure bro mai abhi jata hun mukti ke pass

Cabir: Nahi. Abhi hai uske sath

Manik: Navya then, ohkaay

Cabir: Nahi usse mai please (He gave a pleading look)

Nandini hai na. Tu please usse help karde (Cabir said in a hurry and left..He knew that now since manik knows she's hungry and can't eat herself, He'll definitely help her.)

Cabir while walking to the other side

Cabir's POV:
Mai in dono ko akela chord toh aya but i hope yeh log kuch quality time spend kar paaye. Nandini's Aiyappa, please do something naaa
