The next day, sangeet rehersals were on.

Manik was constantly avoiding Nandini. The poor little soul tried a lot to talk to him, but not once did Manik paid any attention.
Since Manik had asked Nandini not to tell anyone, nandini kept quiet all this while.

Even aryamaan was behaving rude with her because of the previous night.

Navya and cabir were happily enjoying the rehersals.

Mukti and abhi insisted that even they want to perform in their own sangeet, so even they were busy practising the entire day.
Aryamaan was constantly sticking around Alia to make Nandini jealous, but little did he know that she cares a damn about it.

The whole day went the same way, nandini did give fake smiles when she was with everyone and stole many glances at Manik who didn't respond at all.

The busy day passed in a blink. Since they practised a lot that day, everyone was tired and slept soon.

Nandini came to the terrace and she knew Manik wont come. She went to the terrace corner, sat with the wall supporting her back.
She digged her face in her lap and closed her eyes. She was tired, both mentally and physically.

Manik came after a few mins. He saw her sitting at the corner.
He knew he had been mean with her. He did melt once again, afterall, it was his Nandini whom he was constantly hurting.

He too was frustrated, he needed a break too. He went up to her and quietly sat next to her.

Nandini lifted her face and saw Manik sitting next to her.

She was about to say something when Manik interupted.

Manik:I need a break Nandini

Nandini:Me too

Manik: just stay here with me, stay by my side for a while

Nandini: Manik please ek baar meri baat sunlo..just once..I..I

Manik: No. Please. I beg you. Don't say anything. I said na, I need a break, please.

Nandini remained silent and rested her head on his shoulder.
Both of them closed their eyes and entwined their hands. They found peace, they found solace.

They stayed like that for a while, just then they heard Amms calling Nandini's name loudly.

Nandini got up and was about to leave. Manik also stood up. He didn't stop her. He was just looking at her.

Before leaving, she turned, looked at Manik and yelled "I love you! And i know you hate me. I just had to say this, you're free now.." she left

Manik was dumbstruck by what he heard.

Manik's POV:
what..what did she just say? She loves me? Whattt?
But how is this possible?
Aryamaan? She's going to marry him naa..and kal raat jo maine dekhaa
But what do I feel? Do I love her too?
Arghhh this is so complicated!!

He went to nyonika's room. He needed her right now.

Nyonika: Manikk..come naa..sit

Manik came and instead on sitting beside her, he lay on the bed and kept his head on her lap.

Nyonika understood he has come to talk about something serious.

She ruffled his hair and he smiled looking at her.

Nyonika: kya hua baacha?

Manik: confused hun mum

Nyonika: about what?

Manik: feelings

Nyonika smiled.

Nyonika: Nandini ko lekar?

He winded his eyes and looked at her confusingly.

Nyonika:Dont give me that look haan. I know you better than yourself.

Manik: mum, idk I..Things are so complicated

Nyonika: they always are manik. Achaa you're confused about your feelings for her right?

Manik:yes

Nyonika covered Manik's eyes with her hands.

Nyonika: Kuch mat bolna. Bas close your eyes. Take a deep breath.

He did.

Nyonika: Now nandini ke barre mein socho. Think of all the times you've spent with her, both good and bad.

Manik thought. He thought of their terrace meet, the mehndi food feeding, pani puri competition, her giggle, the shine in her eyes.

While thinking, he had the widest smile on his face.

Nyonika: Thats it. Yeh raha tumhara answer.

Manik:Matlab?

Nyonika: Not once did you remember your bad memories with her did you? The good ones were good enough to overpower them.

Manik: But mum..

Nyonika: manik. There are no if and buts when you talk about feelings. They're from heart, but and all walla kaam brain ka haai. Trust your heart baby.

Manik was pretty convinced now. The confusing storm inside him had finally washed away now.

Manik: I love you mum. You're the besttt. (He pecked on her cheecks and hugged her)

Nyonika: always there baccha.

He slept in her lap only, he was still a baby for his mumma.

Manik's POV:
Sorry nandini, sorry for making you wait. Sorry for today, sorry for everything. I'll make up for it. Promise.

The next day all woke up in full excitement. It was their favourite day in the whole wedding days, SANGEET FUNCTION. They knew it would be hell lotta fun.

Manik was extra excited, we all know why.

They all dressed up beautifully and came down in the afternoon for the eventful day.

Meanwhile, Nandini was sitting down in a hall alone.
Aryamaan saw here sitting there alone and quiet, He felt guilty for shouting at her.

He went up to her and sat next to her. She looked the other side indicating that she was angry.

Aryamaan: acha baba sorry

Nandini still didn't say anything& kept ignoring.

Aryamaan: Madam, I am saying sorry. Ab itna bhaww bhi mat khaa na yaar.

Nandini: mujhpe chilaya kyuu

Aryamaan: argh, vo i got irritated. Promise it won't happen again.

Nandini smiled: Its ohkayy

Aryamaan: actually sorry maine chilnane ke liye nahi bola

Nandini: then?

Aryamaan: Nandini, mai tera to be husband hone se pehle best friend tha, i mean hun. And I think I left my bestfriend when she needed me the most.

Nandini smiled: dumboo I am glad your back now

They both did a high5.

Nandini: ohkay ek promise karoo. Jab tak yeh wedding over nahi ho jati tab tak tum apne husband walle bhoot ko nahi jagaoge. I only want to enjoy with my bestfriend.

Aryamaan: Deal.

They both were laughing and gigling.

Manik's seach got him to the hall where he saw them laughing.

Manik's POV:
Manik no no no. You can't think negative now. Trust the heart, remember. Yesss.

Suddenly they heard the crowd applauding and turned behind. The stage was set, and the guests had also settled themselves.

On stage cabir and Navya were standing with mikes in their hands.

Cabir: Hello all the lovely aunties and all the amazing uncles. welcome to our Mukbhi's sangeet ceremony.

Navya: mukbhi matlab?

Cabir: Ohho. Mukbhi, mukti ka muk and Abhimanyu ka abhi. Mukbhi!

Navya: wow that sounds amazing.

Cabir: oh by the way we forgot to introduce ourselves navya.

Navya: oh yes. Hello everyone. I am Navya Neveli and he is Cabir and we're gonna be the lucky hosts of this amazinggg evening.

The guests cheered.

Cabir: so now, without much delay, lets call in our couple, Mukti and Abhimanyu.
They both entered hand in hand. They looked beautiful, perfect for each other.

They sat on a big sofa placed in the center of the hall. They were the centre of attention, the ones for whom this ceremony was happening.

Cabir: So let me tell you all, this is not going to be like a usual sangeet ceremony. Isme bahaut sarre new and ever romantic touches hai.

Navya: trueee.

So me and my friends are gonna show you mukti's and abhi's journey from teenage till now through our performance.

Background voice (Aryamaan): Yes, the lovestory was slowly budding. Well we don't know if it has reached its peak or not, but here's another performance dedicated to their love.

(Abhi asked for mukti's hand which she happily gave in. They took the typical couple dance duo position)

(She did slow dancing totally engrossed in each other's eyes)

(Mukti looked into his eyes as if she meant each and evey word of the song)

The mood was so energetic and so lively. Everyone was happy.

Mukti went up to the stage and took the mike and said

I have to say somethings today.
Sabse pehle toh, Abhimanyu, thankyou so much for being in my life. I know mai yeh bahaut baar bol chukki hun but trust me, i mean it you're the biggest blessing that I've ever recieved. I dont know how my life would have been if you weren't there.
Nyonika aunty, thankyou ki apne mujhpe shuru se itna trust kiya. After all those incidents, you never thought twice, you just trusted me and blessed us. I am so lucky that after marraige, I'll get the most amazing mother.
Mumma papa thankyou ki app logon ne mujhe ajj tak itna support kiya. I dissapointed you many times I know, but I..I just love you both.
Cabir, Nandini, my jaan, my bestfriensds. Tum logon ke liye I dont have words. You've always been my pillar of strength.

Seeing this, Cabir and Nandini hopped on the stage.

The guests were coming an giving blessings to the couple.

Meanwhile,Aryamaan and Nandini were chilling while having coke.
For the first time, Nandini was happily and freely talking to her long forgotten bestfriend, Aryamaan.

He went up to them. They both stopped laughing and looked at him.
Manik: umm, vo nandini i gotta talk to you

Aryamaan: now?

Manik: yes, urgent

Without waiting for their reply, Manik held her hand and dragged her to the terrace.

Nandini kept yelling on the way: Manikk..manikkk kya kar rahe ho pagal ho gaye ho kyaa mannnikk?!?!

They finally reached the terrace and manik was thinking how to say it..

Nandini: what is wrong with you manik..pehle urgent bolke you drag me here, and ab chup hoo

Manik looked at her. He looked straight into her eyes.

Manik: vo kal jo tumne bola tha...

Nandini recalls her confession.

She becomes shy and looks down.

Manik lifts her face.

Manik: Not today Nandini, not today. Look into my eyes and say it again.

Nandini looked into his eyes.

Nandini: I..I love youuu.

Manik smirked. He went behind Nandini and picked up his guitar.

Manik: You wanna know my reply? Here it is,

He started singing

I don't know when and how this happened, but idk, I..I just love youu.

Nandini had teary eyes listening to all this. She just hugged manik sooo tightly. He responded the same way. He lifted her off the floor and twirled her around. She was his princess, it was a magical moment. '
