It;s interim Bail, the argument was the defense didn't get copy of the verdict. So technicalities were the reason. his real bail plea will be heard after 48 hrs. This is just a little break and maybe a tactic to build his bail case.

What shocks me more than anything is the fallacy of these bollywood stars.  The same happened during Sanjay Dutt fiasco and the only person to strongly voice out  was Nana Patekar.

I think they know that he'll never go to jail.

For all those people crying out loud that Salman should have been sentenced as any other citizen instead of being given a harsher punishment, Salman's jail sentence got reduced  and he was given  interim bail from HC on the same day, while a aam aadmi would have been in the jail by now, equality indeed.
