So this is my take on Viraj's state of mind. I know the whole EWF thing is creepy, but I'm giving Viraj the benefit of doubt because he's lived alone for so long, he's battled paralysis alone. I mean, I don't expect him to be very sane or normal. I am not justifying his actions. Just trying to put his point across. Even if it's not a very good point.

Now that the disclaimer is done...

I've used sorceress as he called her a Jaadugar in the previous episode. Its direct translation would be magician but sorceress also kind of implies a certain mystery and well, attraction, too. Will post the poem in next post. Please share your views.

P.S. will post The Commoner and The Angel after I get sufficient feedback on The Sorceress.

The Sorceress

She appeared out of nowhere

She has no whereabouts

Still she's always there

For the pettiest of my doubts

I haven't heard her voice

Yet she sings that song

The one of mirth and rejoice

The one I've waited for so long.

Her form I haven't seen

Yet she's the personification of grace

A calm and quiet sheen

Exudes, her invisible face.

I haven't seen her eyes

Yet through her eyes I see

All truths and lies

She bares my own world to me.

I haven't seen her hands

Yet she creates as she talks

Dreams in exquisite lands

Enticing me for walks.

I don't know her heart

Yet my mind she can read

She's become an inseparable part

She's slowly become my need.

I don't know the spells

But I know the magic they do

After every dead end, she tells

Lies a road new.

I don't know of her existence

Or if her words are true

Yet I offer no resistance

Even an illusion will do.

Delineating paths for me

She is seeing me through

Lifting curses, setting me free

O sorceress! Who are you?

The Commoner

Storming into my citadel of silence

She fought her way into its core

Dismissing my fears with nonchalance

My glory she seeks to restore.

She carries the world on her shoulders frail

Shields every creature she sees

Never flinches for her own wounds stale

On her forehead, not a single crease.

A citadel she too is wrapped up in

One of insecurity and fear

Punishing herself for another's sin

Withdrawing from all who come near.

Her eyes tell a tale of hurt and fortitude

Her lips narrate that of resolve

I wish I could accompany in her solitude

Her pain I wish I could dissolve.

Despite the society's persistent effort

Her child-like innocence remains

An oasis in the world's desert

After the drought, the rains.

Her sheer simplicity holds her charm

Her beauty- her demeanor gauche

Tripping incessantly into my arm

Breathing life into the mundaneness of posh.

She says I aroused in her, feelings

That she never knew existed

Paranoid about the heart's dealings

I resist harder than I ever resisted.

She is but a child still growing

Her heart is guileless and pure

I break her heart fully knowing

For she has to learn to endure.

Still metamorphosing into a butterfly

Love for her is too soon

Still crawling around, investigating- why?

She still needs her protective cocoon.

Every time I fall, she falls with me

Dusting the dirt off both of us

Tending to my bruises, adoringly

Jumping up again without a fuss.

The bearer of my dreams

The carrier of my life

Reflecting my eye's gleams

Lessening my strife.

My saviour, my mentee

My friend and my guide

My laughter and glee

My honour, my pride.

Walking on the paths delineated by me

Without any question or reserve

This commoner holds the world in her- a potpourri

Will I ever be the prince she deserves?

The Angel

A beauty so fine

So surreal her being

I wish she were mine

I could stop her from fleeing.

The strength of her healing

So powerful yet mild

Tincturing my scattered feelings

Appeasing the man and child.

Protecting my innocence

Brightening my perceptions

Love and reverence

She kindled all my affections.

So compassionate her eyes

Her lap soft and warm

Her reassurance so wise

The calm after the storm.

Her hands on my head

Her incessant, soothing caress

The Commoner's stead

Wisdom of the Sorceress.

Her touch so sweet

Her presence rejuvenating

My Angel, we did meet

After a lifetime of waiting.

But where do you hide?

Where have you gone?

My solace, my guide

The bringer of my dawn.

My Angel we did meet...

Or was it a vivid dream?

Is my mind a cheat?

Or are you hope's gleam?

Were you a mere fantasy

Born out of my vice of drinking?

Did I conjure and see

A result of my own thinking?

But the familiarity you evoked

Can that be false too?

Softly, as you stroked

Is that the clue?

You felt like the Commoner

Your quiet persistence

You spoke like the Sorceress

Breaking my resistance.

As I decided to quit

You firmly dissuaded

Just like the Sorceress

My psyche you invaded.

The lullaby of your voice

Was like the Commoner's tinkle

The stubbornness with which

You wiped my forehead's wrinkle.

You're the best of both worlds

My Angel your shadow I chase

But there is only one world

My heart adamantly says.

I shut my eyes to see you

A revelation I plead

I finally get the epiphany

The one to satiate my need.

I finally get my answer

A reconciliation of heart and mind

Always lying before my eyes

Oh! I've been so blind.

The Sorceress who stitched my mind together

The Commoner whose heart I tore

You've been playing games, my Angel

Why didn't I see before?

Morphing from one into another

Angel, you are all three

Finding ways to prevent me from breaking

Angel you've set me free.

Angel, may I hold your hand

Ask for a peaceful embrace?

O Sorceress! Take me to your dreamland

Commoner, can your heart still make place?
