When I was a child, I watched this movie solely for scenes of "Abba Dabba Chabba", Johnny Lever bothering his father and Paresh Rawal asking questions, we used to imitate all of them

As I grew up I realized it was such a weird movie, a woman sold her husband, I didn't like Kajal back then

I grew up and realized 😭 How foolish was Urmila for paying 2cr for Raj?

I felt bad for Kajal, married to a man who expected her to adjust with his foolish lifestyle

I always shipped AK AND SRI Jodi

Yes, completely ridiculous plot

Gotta remember its just entertainment and we got to see such beauties on screen along with the songs :)

Recently rewatched this and had so much fun. The plot was absolutely bonkers and hated Urmila's character so much but the girls looked so stunning and music was great!

i love this movie, yes ridiculous plot but it was so well made that it was believable and entertaining

I was a kid when this movie released and I found the concept of wife selling her husband for rich and wealthy lifestyle ridiculous. I used to feel sorry for Anil kapoor then but now when I think of it, I felt somewhere it was his fault too. If your wife wants tv, fridge, etc, you should fulfill her demands and not say, I am used to live a simple life so I expect you also to live a simple life like me. It is a 90s movie and tv, fridge etc were basic necessities then and he failed to provide these basic necessities and I guess him being sold as a commodity by his wife was his karma.

I used to hate Urmila then but now I feel the ending would have been better if Sridevi would have left instead of Urmila. Anil loved her and they were happy couple. Sridevi lost her rights over her husband after they divorced. Legally as well ethically Urmila was the real wife of Anil and not Sridevi. The climax actually showed Sridevi so weak and dependent on her ex husband and Urmila so strong that she left the country even though she was pregnant so that Anil can live with his vulnerable ex wife. It was not any prayaschit. It was a sacrifice she did for Sridevi. Real prayaschit should have been done by Sridevi as her mistake was bigger than Urmila's.

Well once in a while, life imitates art...

Frankly I cant decide who was more wrong..Sri or urmila but I'll def never pay 2 cr for anil Kapoor and if I were Sri, I wont take 2cr for him ill give him for free He was one shameless dude..claimed to love his wife then started loving other woman and in the climax followed his ex wife like a puppy when 2nd option left him ..
