Diljit Dosanjh in Udta Punjab

Guess it is the season for Punjabi singers to make Mumbai their base. Diljit Dosanjh, who got the world to go balle balle to ditties like Patiala Peg and Dance With Me, is likely to make his Bollywood debut in Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab.

Diljit is a superstar in Punjab, having done films like Punjab 1984 and both the Jatt And Juliet films. Udta Punjab already has Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Since Ayushmann Khurrana reportedly exited the film, the Punjabi singer-cum-actor, who is currently shooting in UK for a Punjabi film, is expected to fill in for Ayushmann. Abhishek Chaubey remained unavailable for comment.

Will people still believe that Kareena is the reason for Ayushmann expulsion?

The casting director is smart. Regional superstar >>> Ayushmaan.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how this film turns out.

punjab and drug abuse
its a very interesting subject
and i loved the 2 films abhishekc made
i am more excited abt this film
than shahid's other releases
even though i loved queen
and waiting for shandaar
the subject for udta punjab is intriguing
i hope they start shooting the film soon
diljit being part of the project will generate
very good amount of interest.
