Copy/pasting what I wrote in the Nandini AT

Both Manik and Nandini are reacting according to their characters.

Manik is not big on words, he somehow cannot communicate using words. All his emotions he expresses physically, be it anger, jealousy, sadness, love, so its not a big surprise where he is coming from.

Nandini is right from her POV, I mean c'mon things are going way too fast for her and Manik is very intense in his passion and love. Its only logical she wants to take things slow, get to know him on a non-physical way. Just that the word "friends" threw Manik offbalance, he only registered the "friends" part.

Totally true...its a classic example of opposites attract but we tend to forget that attraction might be instantaneous and effortless but keeping up is a lifetime of work in progress. They pull coz they are so different and these very same differences that bring them together can pull them apart too. I so want to see them learn the ropes, slowly and gradually go deeper and deeper in this relationship. Manan are learning to love, and we are loving the way they learn.

Saying it again - you write well. It is a gift. What is funny is that I wanted to write about the tie - the bracelet :) and after reading this, I've actually lost my thoughts.

And its great that they have this conflict right in the beginning, because it will help set the tone of their relationship from hereon. We all know very well, relationships are an astute management of desire, ego and wishes. And its about compromises because relationships are not stagnant, they are organic, so while one problem might crop up and get sorted out, more will crop along the lifetime of a relationship and these problems can differ in their importance as well as relevance.
But how they sort out this "intimacy" issues can set the base of how they can sort out any issues that crop up further in their relationships and issues will definitely crop up.
