Sugar bin and Night vision
He bent down to look at the kohl stain on his tee... she leaned on the wall with her eyes shut,
lips swollen with passion, her face flushed, and her whole being shaking...
she felt like she was the sugar bin and Amma was pouring the monthly purchase into it...
or like the bucket filling up with "just right" heated water from the geyser on a cold cold morning...
or she is laying in the midst of loose jasmine at Paatti's house center hall.. in Madurai... eneveloped in scent,
as Amma and Paati frantically strung it before she crushed it all

Her left hand gently felt her waist... tracing the path of the carress she had TWO, no three precious pieces of real estate on her, her waist, her mouth, her nose... and her hair and her neck and her scalp
She felt like she had run miles... from some danger... except... she had run INTO ONE
He didnt ask her if he could kiss... he didnt flirt... he walked up hovered and kissed

The help paused... and left for the INSIDE

He looked up from his phone and sandwich
she felt like walking up to him and dumping the sandwich on his head and watch the mayo trickle down his eyes...

His phone rang... he didnt get it
She walked over and asked him "Time kya hua hai"
"10:10" he said flatly
"Eat" he said
"NO, U WILL THEN CHARGE ME FOR FOOD"
She saw a HALF SMILE?😲 CLEFT... A DIMPLE... A DIMPLE? ON HIS LEFT CHEEK?
"OH GREAT!! As if 6'3" and a head full of hair and Papaji being top 100 wealthiest in Delhi, and a CLEAN SET OF TEETH IS NOT ENOUGH?"

He ate unmindful

She grabbed a sandwich and a plate and sat down... the mayo stung her lips... he saw that...
as slow color rose from some where near her neck all over her face, defying gravity...

When the next knock happened...

She jumped out of the couch... quickly shoving down the food, by washing it off with a glass of whatever she found on the wheelie cart
She flew thru the lounge... to wear her strappy pink heels... her newest Metro acquisition... he watched startled as she wore her foot wear..
she didnt tell him Iyers didnt wear shoes in the house...
She frantically circled the car hoping to zap the locks and have it open for her...
He was handed the keys by a help, he unlocked it...
She grabbed her purse...like it was contraband of some kind...
She waved at the guard at the gate... he hesitated but didnt walk by
Mujhe cab chahiye.. she said
He was in his car with his lights turned on, her laptop bag was in the back seat
"Mr Bhalla, I just need my iMac" she said
"I will drop u home" he said...
GREAT! APPA WILL BE IN THE BALCONY AND THAT IS ALL I NEED
"No" she said
He waited tuning between stations...
"I should just get off around the block from home" she thought
Got in... and he drove... fast and QUIETLY
When he got on to Malcha Marg, "where to in Sector 12" he asked
"D II 887" she muttered
He drove as if he knew... and then turned into the Secxtor 12 block near Dhaula Kuan...
She made hand signs... and waved to stop...
She got her stuff out, he stepped out.. "Its THAT ONE" she pointed lying ...
"It says 970-1024" he said dryly...
